The pool was amazing, staff were exceptionally helpful. Very good value for money too. Not aware the check in and breakfast part of the trip was a 15 minute walk to their big sister b n b.

B&B Pignata does NOT have breakfast nor STAFF nor and is in the middle of nowhere. In our short stay there (we arrived at night, left in the morning) we did not see one single soul! We could not buy food. After we complained to bookings.com our intention to leave the place, what saved our stay was that they transferred us to a similar property of the same owner, Masseria San Leonardo, where they had BREAKFAST and a lovely STAFF. At San Leonardo we also had the possibility of order food during the day (important feature in isolated places like these). Pignata had confirmed by mail days before our arrival that they knew we would arrive between 20:00 and 21:00. We arrived at 20:15. But there was NO ONE there. We did not have internet, nor any means to communicate with the external world. It was dark and the place is in the middle of nowhere. We could not call a taxi to go elsewhere. Nor buy any kind of food or water. After shouting, beating on the doors, we started walking in the dark around the property and found the house of a neighboor who helped us contact the owner. And still it took the owner a long time to send us the wifi code (to be able to communicate!) and a code to enter the place. The whole thing took around 1 1/2 hours. We had left home at 4:30 in the morning. We had no dinner. And the place has no breakfast, although being called BED & BREAKFAST!!

We visited the area for a wedding. We had a hire car and so there was plenty of room for parking, except when some other guests inexplicably parked in a way that blocked the entire car park. Not the owners fault of course. The property was pretty, the room was clean and a cleaner visited every day. The room has a fridge. Communication with the owner was good, he whatsapped me with clear instructions on how to access the apartment as there are no staff on site. Good WiFi but I had to message and ask for the password as this wasn't in the room. A nice swimming pool, we didn't use it as was quite cold when visiting and I understand it was officially closed due to being out of season (if it had been warmer I probably would have used it anyway). The property is advertised as a bed and breakfast and when we booked it, we expected to receive breakfast. I knew from other reviews before arrival that they have stopped doing breakfast and confirmed this with the owner. It was disappointing but I couldn't be bothered to argue it. We just got some food from the local supermarket for breakfast and snacks including Yogurt and salad. Unfortunately there was no cutlery in the room and nobody around to ask, it didn't seem worth it to contact the owner and ask so to be fair he may have offered to source us some had I asked. We had friends who stayed in the apartment next door and they raised the lack of breakfast with the owner who said they could visit a nearby property he also owns for breakfast. We couldn't be bothered with that but I think it's fair he offered a solution. There were 2 or 3 times when we went to shower and the water ran cold. I didn't mention it to the owner so he may have been able to do something about it, but as we were only there a few days we just got on with it. Overall a nice property if you are staying in the area. I think they should change their name from B n B pignata to avoid the confusion for future bookings as they don't do breakfast. It would have been a nice gesture for the owner to offer us breakfast at other property when I raised the issue with him before our arrival, seeing as when we booked it was b and b. The owner could consider providing an information sheet on things to do in the local area, restaurants etc but this is just a suggestion.

-The rooms were overall clean and decent. -Peaceful facility in between olive trees. - A kind and responsive facility owner. - Easy checkin despite no reception presence. - Seating available outside the rooms. - Value for money is good for the area It is overall OK and fine but there are a few problems. -No kettle in the room and a lack of coffee capsule supply unless asked for; -Hot water is somewhat inconsistent; -too many dogs barking around neighborhood at night; -no breakfast or pool use in off-season; -not exclusive to this one, but without a car, the whole facilities all around the region is almost unreachable and there is nothing nearby to buy anything, so think twice if you are without a car. - wi-fi coverage is pretty bad.

Beautiful location surrounded by olive trees, a short drive to the sea. Very Italian style. A/C in the room helps a lot with summer heat. The bed is comfortable. Free parking. No Wi-Fi in the room which is really unacceptable nowadays, considering also the fact that the signal in this location is very low. Also no mini-fridge in the room might be a problem for someone who’s staying for more than one night.
