Riad Dar Kirami

Abdou, our host, was extremely professional. He was always smiling and ready to give us information and advice about everything. The house itself felt like a museum — it had been renovated with great care and attention by Abdou. We felt at home immediately, which is not something you find everywhere. Breakfast was a typical Moroccan breakfast and very enjoyable. For me, the best part was the terrace: beautiful views over the city and plenty of shade, which was perfect because it was very hot. Great value for money — honestly, 11 out of 10. The only thing worth mentioning is that the riad had a slight unpleasant smell. However, Fes is a very old city and this seems to be quite common everywhere (you can even notice it in the streets), so it didn’t bother us much. Abdou had done everything he could to improve it. The riad is located on a side street, which we actually liked because it felt authentic and full of locals. Just make sure to follow Abdou’s advice on how to get to the city center (there are two ways), because on the lower street there are many young kids trying to scam tourists by saying that the way is closed just to get your attention . It is also very convenient for getting a taxi if you want to go outside the medina.

I went with my dad and we had the best experience!! The host is the most amazing person, he built everything from 0 fulfilling his dream, it shows that what he does he does with love and passion, the treatment was excellent ,without a doubt we will return!!

Everything. Great location, beautiful building, and Abdou was very accommodating and inviting, and was very helpful in pointing us in the right direction for things to do and places to go. Very nice architecture within, and a nice terrace to pass time. Great breakfast too. Nothing to dislike.

To many stairs

We had an incredible stay at this riad. From the moment we stepped off the busy streets of the Fes Medina, we felt like we’d entered a peaceful sanctuary. The courtyard is stunning with its traditional tile work and fountain.The Riad Manager went above and beyond, welcoming us with mint tea and helping us navigate the winding alleyways. Our room was spacious, immaculately clean, and beautifully decorated. Don’t miss the breakfast on the rooftop the views over the city at sunrise are unforgettable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic and luxurious Fes experience Zero complain ?

The place felt very homey and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The host went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay, which really made a difference. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests. The space itself is beautiful, with a very traditional style and lots of thoughtful details that give it character. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it.

I have been to dozens of Riad’s throughout all Morocco, but I have never been to a Riad as superior as Riad Dar Kirami. When you are here, you are definitely family. My husband and I were greeted with a very warm welcome. Abdul is by far the most amazing host I have ever had, he beams with warmth and kindness. His wife makes the bread that he serves for breakfast along with other delicacies. He spent a couple years remodeling the building and every room has a very detailed theme with a historic explanation into Morocco‘s heritage, I was very impressed with the quality and design. We actually became friends with him throughout our stay and decided to stay an extra day. We loved it so much that we booked another stay here a couple months later. I had gotten sick and he let us stay later than our booking time, making me a hot honey drink, and helping to nurse me back to health. I can’t thank him enough for that. It was also quite a treat to discover that the most narrow street registered in Fez (complete with a city road sign) is on the side of his building and he will gladly give you a tour as it has a private door as an entrance, and not publicly accessible. We loved sitting on the terrace at night, there are three separate sitting areas that have views from both side sides of the building. I would stay here 1,000 times over and I’m looking forward to my next stay. Thank you Abdul ??

The host is extremely kind. This riad is in a prime location inside the Medina of Fes, and the stay felt like a stay inside a friend's home. The breakfast was delicious and fresh, made right in the home. The host provided excellent advice and was very accommodating. We would absolutely stay here again. The only complaint I had is that there was a slight bathroom odor in the room. I think maybe a ventilation fan in the bathroom would help. Other than that, the stay was absolutely perfect. I would definitely stay here again.

Property was very clean, and the decor was amazing. Our room was very comfortable. It was a short walk from shops and restaurants. I also really loved the view from the terrace. Abdel was very kind and hospitable. There was delicious breakfast prepared every morning. On days we had tours early, he had prepared breakfast for us to take. He also helped us arrange airport transportation, tours and hammam even if it was last minute. A really fantastic experience!

Every detail of Riad Kirami is alive with history. The tiles, the wooden carvings, the soft light — all preserved with such care that it feels like walking through a private museum. With only five rooms, each one carrying its own story of Fes, you feel both held and transported. Even the stairs echo the architecture of the ancient Madrasa nearby, reminding you constantly of the city’s legacy. This beautiful home is filled with history and soul, the atmosphere is intimate, warm, and authentic. The owner Abdel make you feel like family — his kindness defines the entire experience. Breakfast, freshly prepared each morning by his wife with local ingredients, feels like a loving gesture, not just a meal. The rooftop terrace is breathtaking. You can see 180° views of the Medina, historic walls, and the sunrise lighting up Fes. It’s peaceful, magical, and deeply memorable. If you want a stay filled with authenticity, warmth, and a sense of stepping back in time, the Riad Kirami is perfect. A truly heart-touching experience.

The weather! It was bitterly cold and wet for half the time we were there.

Abdul gave me a personalized program of local recommendations for every day of my stay, and had a great answer for all of my questions. Very friendly and attentive but never felt pressured into anything. The riad is small but clean and absolutely gorgeous, wonderful details everywhere. All built/restored by hand from local sources. Breakfast is amazing too, I went to bed every night looking forward to the coffee.

The owner was so helpful and kind, I hope to come back again!
