Overall, I had a beautiful stay at Dar Benelmahi! Mehdi and his mom were incredibly kind, and were always available if I needed anything at all! It was lovely being greeted by him each time I left and entered the riad. The interior is beautiful, very authentic to Fassi style, and the terrace had an absolutely gorgeous view of Morocco’s cultural heart! I only have two complaints, and the beauty of the stay far outweighs them. My first suggestion is for the breakfast to be fresher, as I unfortunately ate a msemen that tasted stale. Secondly, there were times in the bathroom when the hot water of the shower did not work, meaning that I had to take a shower with cold water. However, I know these could be easily fixed. I really appreciate all the kind work and effort Mehdi and his mom put into this property!

The location is very close to the blue gate so it is easy to navigate and find it in the labyrinth of allies. The breakfast was amazing and there is always the availability of the host if you need anything.. Also have a nice terrace where you can sit and see the sunset There is nothing not to like.

Lovely guesthouse in a small dar apartment, with a really friendly and helpful host. Location was fantastic for exploring the medina but also getting in and out with luggage without too much trouble. A good plentiful breakfast every morning and even a to-go breakfast on the last day when we needed to catch an early train. The rooftop provided a great view of the city! We were even able to do laundry for a few euros and dry our clothes on the rooftop - a wonderful help on a longer trip. The laneway outside was a bit noisy through the night and impossible to completely shut out the noise - challenging if you are a light sleeper. Stairs to get in are narrow and many flights - not suitable if you aren't fit or you have big luggage.

The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming to the guests. The breakfast was abundant and delicious. The rooftop offers a great view. I caught a cold while in the desert of Merzouga, but after arriving in Fes, the owner generously provided me with medicine and hot water at no extra charge, which helped me recover. I am deeply grateful to the owner.

The place is in the heart of medina, close to all main sights. Room was clean and nice and also there is a rooftop where you can chill or have breakfast with great view. Host is very hospitable and kind so that made our stay even more enjoyable. Definitely recommended!

It's close to the blue gate, the owner is nice, it's clean and the breakfast is good I had the room with 1 bed and the window had 0 noise cancelling. People were walking along the street until late and it feels like they're walking inside the room as the noise insulation is poor. That should be improved. Even with ear plugs I found it hard to fall asleep. The rest is nice

The host went beyond the norm to help us. He collected us from the taxi and arranged the transport to the airport for us. Always was courteous and asked us what we needed. We Enjoyed the breakfast and chat to help us to know better about the place. It is quiet, hardly hear any sound. A great place for a short stay.

+ location: in the middle of medina, amazing view from the terrace + hospitality: Mehdi went the extra mile to make us feel at home. He helped us with the airport transfer, came to pick us up by foot upon arrival and brought us upon departure, got me a toothbrush, bought a souvenir for me because we were on a daytrip. He pro-actively came asking every morning and evening if we needed anything. I never had a host caring so much about how his guests were feeling. + facilities: awesome decoration with lots of moorish elements, big room, double bed and single bed, great mattress if you suffer from back issues, the best pillows, hot water, nice breakfast place, tasty breakfast with eggs and juice + extra's: additional blankets, hairdryer, heater Nothing to mention...

Amazing stay! Very clean and spacious room. Homemade and delicious breakfast. Great location. The owner is a fantastic person and very helpful! Medi is a friend forever now!

Delicious breakfast, super clean, very friendly and helpful owners, perfect location in the heart of the medina... spacious bedroom with plenty of hot water for showers. All is great, we would stay again!
