I knew we were booking a budget motel. We paid about $110 plus $10 for early check-in, roughly $120 total. I wasn't expecting the Ritz-Carlton. 😂 That said, The L Motel definitely has plenty of “character.” The room was extremely basic, with damaged/separating flooring, a broken bathroom cabinet, and a bathroom door and trim that clearly need maintenance. My biggest concern was privacy. The bathroom window has no curtain or proper covering and faces an outside/back area where someone could potentially see in—or at least see a silhouette. Nothing says relaxation like wondering who's getting a free view while you're showering. 😂 The main room window also lacks adequate curtains, allowing plenty of daylight in and offering limited privacy. To be fair, the AC worked, the beds were usable, and it provided a place to sleep. If you're passing through Flagstaff and only need a cheap room for 8–10 hours, the price may make sense. But if you're traveling with your wife or family and want comfort, privacy, and reasonable maintenance, I'd spend a little more and stay somewhere else. I'm not expecting luxury from a budget motel, but basic privacy, intact flooring, functioning cabinets, and a decent bathroom door shouldn't be luxury amenities. 😂 I'm including photos so you can judge for yourself. Would I stay again? Maybe if I desperately needed the cheapest room for one night. Would I bring my family back? No.

If you want something cheap to sleep and shower this is your place
-
There was a few people smoking in front of they're rooms that worried us a little but for a low cost motel was expected.

Just the ice machine didn’t always have ice

Room size was good, had family room. First night i had to take a/c apart to clean the filter, the filter was clogged and looks like it was never cleaned because the coils were even clogged, so I had to clean it. Floors turned our socks black looked like it had not been mopped. There were tiny beetle type bugs all over the room, walls, bed, curtains, base boards I made sure they weren't bed bugs, thank goodness I didn't see any of those. Room is very outdated, blanket had cigarette holes which it's a none smoking room, which the room smelled fine. Parking lot is so small hard to get in and out. I only picked this place because it had a room with 3 beds and it was me and my 2 daughters and my daughter was having surgery and needed her own bed, so only reason I chose place. We got there at dark and was very hard to find. Its on a very busy road but the one thing that was good I did not here the traffic or noise coming from other rooms. I'll probably never go there again.

The L Motel was absolutely one of the most pleasant motel stays I've had in Flagstaff. The room was very nice and super cute looking. The staff was very friendly and the booking was very affordable. I highly recommend this place to any visitors coming to town. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. I will most certainly be returning in the future.

It's definitely an older motel, it gives off its own unique vibe. But the floors are dirty whenever I go to a hotel I put a damp white hotel towel and I run it across the floor and at every hotel that towel comes up black and this one was no exception. Why is that?

The room certainly could have been cleaner, and the hotel attendant knocked on the door at 10:15AM reminding me that the checkout time was 11AM--a bit rude.

Couldn’t find the remote for the air conditioning

I don’t have time I don’t have time I don’t have

Looks can be deceiving, this place may look rough around the edges from the outside but for the best price and location in town this was exactly what I’m looking for and why I will highly consider it again when I come back to Flagstaff because it’s affordable and newly renovated

sketchy poor english false advertisement of website looking nice overrated and priced

i’m grateful for a low-cost option to sleep for the night and to get out of the heat, on a multiple day trip of driving. I really wanted to leave a great review, but I’ll leave it all right one. Staff was extremely friendly. The door jam though somebody broke it and it wasn’t allowing me to get back into my room. So I had to go to the front desk every time I left my room or went to my car without sticking a chair in the door frame to keep the door open. The shower is usable, but it’s awkward. The shower is too steep on the inside for the water to drain, but water would still fill up and my feet were on the edges of the shower area trying not to fall in. So I don’t recommend for people who have standing disabilities. But friendliness and affordability go along way.

Get what you paid for basically. Building is falling apart, but the room inside is renovated a bit. Not good front desk service at check-in, no breakfast nor services really. I did see an ice machine but not sure if it works. In the room there's no toilet paper roll in the bathroom and the tv didn't work. No security bolt on the door either. It's a place to sleep and that's about it.
