Excellent location on Piazza di Santa Maria Novella; elegant building; lovely breakfast terrace; very friendly and responsive staff on-site 24 hours a day Even though our room had air-conditioning, it didn’t seem powerful enough; we were uncomfortably hot at times.

Great location. Clean room and very quiet. Single room great for solo traveler without a lot of luggage. Good selection for breakfast. Very friendly staff. Nothing.

where not able to modify my reservation at the time of the check-in

The breakfast has a very good selection. The nearness to the train station and the Santa Maria Novella cathedral was great. The decor was lovely and elegant. The room facing the street was sometimes exposed to a good deal of noise.

We stayed here for our honeymoon! The staff were so helpful, friendly and professional. This spot was very clean provided all the toiletries you’d need. They also had a laundry service that we would have use except we were only there for one night! Wish we had booked more time here! Our Vespa tour ended up getting delayed due to rain and the staff were so fast to reply when I was worried about the later check in time :) We had a beautiful view and the bed was HUGE! Also we had to catch the train in the morning at it was a 3min walk to the station! Perfect :) My husband found it a little noisy due to the location but I brought my ear plugs and had no problem falling asleep. The other thing is you need your room key to “power” the room so we left for dinner thinking my headphones would be charging when we were gone but that was not the case.

i stayed in 4 different hotels while i was in italy, this hotel had the hardest beds of them all. when we asked about if we could upgrade our room or change rooms to fix the issue, they said all of the beds in all of the rooms were the same. i get it, but the beds were harder than the others i stayed at in italy.

Convenient location with a nice room and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was included and had a vast selection of choices. Only downside was at times some noise from people talking loudly and late, down in the plaza below the hotel.

The room was a good size with a king bed and full ensuite bath. Very comfortable beds and sparkling clean. Breakfast included a large selection of pastries, eggs, juices, coffees and many other selections. Staff were friendly and helpful. I recommend this and would stay again. American coffee was not hot at breakfast either morning.

Location, location, location....it is a short 5" walk from the train station to the hotel which is located on a main town square with resturants, bars and stores located around the square. From the hotel, we walked to everything in old town Florence, including some pretty fancy stores. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful too. Breakfast was out of this world good too. There was also a nice place with sofas were we could sit outside of our rooms. Highly recommend this hotel Nothing.

Excellent location, close to transportation hubs, major tourist attractions and good restaurants. A very good breakfast with a patio overlooking the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella. Our room was comfortable with window views of Piazza Santa Maria Novella On two of our five-night stay, a noisy couple in an adjacent room woke us with their middle-of-the-night activities. The shower was nice but cramped with no soap or shampoo dispensers.

The staff were amazing! So kind and helpful, and they really made the stay even better. They upgraded me from a single room to a double, and it was a nice surprise! The breakfast was great, as was the location of the hotel, as it's a few minutes on foot from the station, and right on the edge of Piazza Santa Maria Novella where you have a bunch of five star properties. The terrace off the breakfast room was really beautiful and I could see that being amazing when the weather is nicer. It was also very clean and organized. Really, I would stay again in a heartbeat, and I will look for their availability first the next time I visit Firenze! The bed was a little uncomfortable for me, as it was too firm, but I still slept mostly OK minus a few wake ups. Some constructive feedback is that the hotel could do with a bit of extra maintenance/upkeep. It's a beautiful place, and obviously historic, which they lean into (rightly so!), and it was very clean, but you can see the wear and tear a bit, so I hope the owners have plans to take care of that soon! Also, they need some new hairdryers ?. Mine worked for 30 seconds to 1 minute at a time before it would overheat and I'd have to wait for it to cool down to use it again, which is not the ideal setup for a morning routine. ? These are all easy, cosmetic fixes and didn't really impact the stay, but for a four star hotel, I expected a little more in that department.

Some water issues had a cold shower one morning. questionable people outside entry door at night doing drugs. Had to leave early due to upcoming train strike - hotel would not give any credit at all for early check out.

Amazing breakfast room with beautiful terrace! Good breakfast with full service. Room was clean and well kept. Friendly and helpful staff. A little humming noise from present.

As the management team says, the heating system is operated by the first of November, So it was very cold room during the October. They just assisted us with one more wooly cover.

The staff was kind, polite and very helpful. I felt like they really cared about me and were helpful without being at all upset by my very many questions. Breakfast was good. My room was clean and the shower was good. I stored my luggage and when I got back from my tour, the staff had placed my luggage in my room. Great! The entryway was a little bit dark. I did not realize that the fridge was a mini bar. On the first day , I told them that some other people had left drinks in the fridge and they said oh that’s OK. So I thought they were available to drink. I drank two of them and then was asked upon checkout if I drank anything from the “ mini bar.” so although it’s a small thing, I would’ve bought my own at a store if I had known those weren’t just left. My room was small but ok.

The staff were always smiling. The location was as perfect as it gets- next to train station and walking distance to main attractions. Bathroom was a bit dated. Shower needed a shelf to hold your shampoo/Body wash etc.

Location was great! Staff (all of them) were wonderful. They were so helpful and attentive and nice!!! Lovely breakfast in the terrace- it was great! Shower was wayyyyy too small ?
