Hotel Ungherese

Staff was absolutely amazing, patio / garden very nice! We booked this hotel for the down time to stop and relax. Lovely room with a fantastic firm large bed. We loved walking in the neighborhood where the locals live. Dront desk staff, gave us recommendations for a amazing local authentic family restaurant. Best restaurant we had through Italy!!! Bathroom, was super small, even the door way to get into the bathroom, a larger person would have to turn sideways. Not much room for luggage / storage.

Friendly staff, clean, modern, comfy bed and good air con, breakfast was good. Bus stop near by but due to terrible traffic in Florence about 45+ mins on bus and taxi €25-30 at night. Lovely garden with seating areas - not really used due to no bar operating. Bathroom nice, big shower cubicle. Overall an okay stay - but due to lack of facilities Overall an okay stay - but due to lack of facilities and distance to city centre I would not return. Hotel had no bar in the garden as advertised. No free drinks in the room only coffee/tea maker - at least some daily free water l'd expect from a boutique hotel. Mini bar is narrow so can only place a few cans in there ourselves whilst the drinks offered in the minibar were quite expensive - €5 small can of beer, €3 can of Fanta/ coke. I'd pay that in the bar but not in the hotel minibar. No lift and no one who can carry luggage up the stairs.

Property was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Bathroom was tired; hairdryer was poor, shower hose was split.

Quirky little hotel, very pretty and very clean. Only stayed one night but the location was quiet and it is a short taxi ride into the main areas of Florence. Also had the best aircon in the room that we’ve had so far in Italy, which was needed given how high the temperature was in Florence. We booked a room with an external private bathroom, the bathroom itself was really nice but just a bit weird having to walk into the main landing to get to it.

Unique Most of the outside bar/coffee area was being renovated . So no drinks Air conditioning not working properly Towel rail hanging off Both reported when we Checked in and told it would be looked it ,it wasn’t ! Tea and coffee complimentary in room but NO MILK!!! I asked for some twice and was told it would be put in my room but wasn’t We were there two days and I could make a hot drink !!! Staff not really present and when they were not attentive at all . I chose this hotel with two teenaged so they could make use of the gardens and the bar/coffee area. Extremely disappointed. Breakfast was the only plus side ,well organised and a pleasure

We liked the calmness of the location and the garden was peaceful. The breakfast was mundane boring with no prepared fresh fruit. We would have liked fresh Greek yoghurt and a better selection of fresh bread. There was no area for sitting indoors. The garden was beautiful but riddled with biting insects.

Clean, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Located a 45-minute walk from the centre of Florence or a 15 minute bus ride (bus stops 2 minutes from hotel). Recommend using hotel parking as opposed to street parking. Don't take the car into the centre........ Breakfast included was okay but could be better. Limited hot food and fresh produce. Cost to park car offsite..............

As soon as you walk through the door the hotel exceeds expectations. The room was so comfortable with everything you could need, including coffee machine which was a bonus! As the weather was so hot we ended up spending a lot of money on taxis as the hotel is not so central. It is possible to get the bus, so our fault really as we went for comfort over saving money!
