Size of the room Poor working AC in the middle of a hit wave during summer
-
Quiet room and Quiet AC that worked really well. The room was big and could fit all our stuff comfortably. The drains had problems. The shower would not drain and kept threatening to overflow to the rest of the floor. The drains made a lot of noise. The breakfast was not that great. Just okay. Not a big selection of food items or coffee.

The hotel is lacated in an old historical building. The rooms are nice , filled with vintage furniture. The staff is nice and overall it was a pleasent expireance. The bathroom was a bit out of date and although it was clean, it needed more maintenance.

History, location, staff, value

Staff was always helpful and nice. Breakfast was great. Location perfect.

This apartment is located in a historic neighborhood, right next to the Boboli Gardens. The décor is charming and full of old-world character, and there is a small garden downstairs that is visible from the window. The staff are also very welcoming.

The rooms are up two (and a half) flights of stairs in a historic building. Staff was wonderful about helping with luggage. The bathroom is small, yes, but that is not surprising given the age of the building. The room was very clean and bright with a charming terrace. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location was excellent. Even with the extreme heat, I was able to walk to restaurants and shopping easily. I would definitely stay here again! The only downside is the lack of an elevator mostly due to having luggage and the fact that Europe generally was experiencing very high temps which made it more difficult.

The air conditioning worked very well in this heat wave, the beds were comfortable and the staff was very accommodating, especially Alexandra. She made sure that we were comfortable.

Lovely staff and in a great location.

The history of the building was a wonderful surprise and having a balcony over looking Annalena gardens was perfect.

This is a historic place, and we enjoyed it. The staff is outstanding, helped us a lot. Location is perfect.

We love old buildings that have character. The room was massive and when you walked on certain parts of the floor the wardrobe would rattle. Loved the extremely high ceilings. Our favorite area was the very large deck. We would sit out there in the mornings and evenings and enjoy the sounds of the birds and the trees swaying in the breeze. There was some work going on next door but that didn’t bother us. My husband enjoyed watching the big crane working. Probably the only thing that was not as enjoyable was lugging all our luggage up and down the stairs as there was no elevator. But once we weren’t lugging the luggage the stairs didn’t bother us.

Location, away from the crowds, close to Boboli Gardens; historic character and simplicity
-
The staff! The girls I checked in with were absolutely wonderful. So very well-spoken, elegant, friendly, and accommodating. I felt so relaxed with the staff. The Hotel is a perfect place to stay when looking for a true cultural experience. It was an older building and made me feel as though I was in old Italy. Beautiful. And the beds were very comfortable, the shower was a nice size, and the breakfast was delicious.

The property itself is a palace that has been restored and now is operating as a hotel since 1990. It has a certain charm to it.

Beautiful historic building Nothing
-
Good location in classic historic building, comfortable bed, spotless room, everything works, balcony, very pleasant, helpful and responsive staff. Breakfast options could be more extensive and the balcony needs a bit of TLC.

It was close to everything. There was a market, a place for a late afternoon Aperol spritz, the Speculo almost directly across the street. This is an outstanding natural history museum. Breakfast was good and espresso machine was nice. The entry area is really shabby, and completely uninviting. You feel lost when you first get there. More signage is needed for encouragement to continue forward. The hot water was irregular.
