Motel 6 Fort Worth, TX - North - Saginaw

I wanted to stay another week but the owner said I would have to pay $150.00+ more because when I went through a third party they didn't get the full rate of the room. I told them if they advertise for that price they can't change it. I was told the ow er said if I want to pay I would have to pay $150.00 more and an additional $50.00 for my dog. So, I checked out when the time came.

We went to our room and as I do at every hotel I check the cleanliness of the bed. When I pulled back the blanket there were cigarette burns on the sheets of a nonsmoking room, I was like ok this isn't great but I get that things happen and laundry gets mixed around from all rooms. When I pulled the sheet back I found a bloodstain on the mattress pad. It was still very red in color and had no signs of it having been washed or anything done to try to remove the stain. My husband went to the front desk clerk to inform him and the clerk said they have a policy that no one other than housekeeping can enter a room once a guest is in it, but if we brought him the linens he would give us fresh ones. As we were pulling the sheets off a woman banged on our door, she started yelling at my husband and to the clerk in another language denying that there was blood until my husband pointed the spot out to her, she snatched the linens from his hand and started yelling to give us a refund and we didn't need to stay there. Found out while getting the refund she was the owner. Very unprofessional. We are not high maintenance people, we simply ask for a clean room and bathroom. My husband was a medic in the Army and currently teaches bloodborne pathogens trainings, all we were asking was to not sleep on someone else's bloody mess. I did not think we were unreasonable at all. I do not recommend booking this place.

The location They had BED BUGS!! The smell was awful.

The staff that checked me in/out and housekeeping was very nice though.

Clean and well maintained.

The room was basic. No microwave, decent mattress. It did have a mini fridge and microwave was only in the lobby to use. Staff was nice. Parking was easily assessable.

The website says pet friendly however I was told as soon as I walked in I cannot bring in my cat.

One of the biggest pluses for us is the accessibility. The front door is automatic and easy to navigate. There is a very good breakfast/lunch cafe almost in the parking lot which is nice ( and a McDonald's too :)

I didn't like how there was a leak being caused by the water running nonstop in my room. I also only had hot water to take a shower instead of lukewarm. There are a few notable stains on the blankets and towels. It is a convenient location for a waterburger or gas station food

Staff were very nice.

The noise from the train kept us awake. Didn’t get a good night sleep. I will need to research the areas more from now on.
