Kawaguchiko Lakeside Hotel

The property was excellent and in an outstanding location. The hosts were extremely hospitable and went out of their way to accommodate us as guests. It’s a beautiful location and an authentic experience for the Japanese style room. Our room had a view of Mt Fuji! The onsen was clean and comfortable and easy to use. A great spot less than a minute from the lake. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in Kawaguchiko!

Everything is great ?

This hotel is simply fabulous. We stayed in a traditional tatami-style room with an amazing view of Mt. Fuji. The room was quite large and had everything we needed. There is an onsen on the ground floor. It is very convenient to use. It really felt wonderful after a long hike around the lake. On both days we had the traditional breakfast offered by the hotel. It was different each day and it was an experience. Well worth the price. The vegetables come from the hotel garden. The hotel is a two minute walk from the lake. The proprietor was friendly and very helpful. He provided rides to and from the train station, and plenty of good advice. His English is quite good. If you are visiting the area of the lake, this is where you want to stay. The photos I provided were taken from our hotel room window with different zoom settings.

The staff were super super amazing and tended to everything we could ever ask for. It is traditional style Japanese lodging and the staff is very attentive, while also giving us privacy of course. If you want corporate lodging where you never interact with staff, not for you. But you will miss out on the amazing benefits of a more intimate style experience in Japan. Also the view of Mt Fuji is amazing, breakfast is great if you want to pay a little extra of course, and the shuttle to the station is very convenient. Free wifi, luggage forwarding, laundry and certified onsen on site. Nothing

I booked Japanese style room 201 and it exceeded all expectations. The room was spacious, immaculately clean, and beautifully traditional. The owners were incredibly warm and welcoming. They personally gave me a tour of the entire property upon check in which made me feel right at home. The view of Mt Fuji from my room was absolutely breathtaking, waking up to see the mountain every morning was such a treat. The bus stop is very close by along with an easy place to rent bikes. The onsen was a highlight, available both morning and evening with a peaceful atmosphere. Truly a special place to stay near Mt Fuji. Thank you! I don't have anything bad to say about my stay

The location was great! Part of the main reason why I picked it too. Maybe 5-10 min drive from kawaguchiko train station. A less than 5 minute walk to the bus station (which will take you all around kawaguchiko / train station as well). And it’s right by a part of the lake! Not only that, but the property was very clean. Place is quiet! And the workers there and owner were soo sweet and accommodating. They also do complimentary shuttle service for pick up and departures. Absolutely nothing! This place was 10/10.

The staff was exceptionally helpful. The hot springs were wonderful and we had the best view of Mount Fiji from our bed room. On our anniversary, they made it special with flowers and local gifts.

Mountain View room was fantastic!! Property was located within 5 min walk to the lake. Walking distance to restaurants and stores. Clean hotel with clean amenities. Owners were the cutest and nicest people :) and the breakfast was 10/10 great experience would recommend

The staff were incredible! I especially enjoyed being able to use the onsen which drew water from a natural hot spring. It wasn't crowded during our stay, so I essentially had a private hot spring! The two people we interacted with were so kind and hospitable, and they went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and understood how to take advantage of everything the hotel and the surrounding area had to offer. One of us even forgot jewelry in our room during checkout, and our host drove all the way back to the train station after initially dropping us off to make sure we didn't leave without our belongings! There's not much I can complain about. If I had to be really picky, I wish the overhead light in our room was a slightly different shade. The lights are tinted slightly yellow, but that's the nature of that kind of light bulb, and it's entirely my personal preference.

The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming guests with a delicious cup of coffee and even offering rides to the train station. This hotel, managed by a caring couple, creates a warm, cozy, and unforgettable experience. Nothing, great experience!!!

The room was large and we had plenty of space for all of our bags etc. The decor was old but then we anticipated that as it was a traditional Ryokan. The staff were fantastic and always willing to help, answer questions and give recommendations. The breakfast was good and more than enough food. The view from our room of Mt Fuji was really special as we could see her in all her glory. The onsen was good even though there was no view from it. This is not a modern hotel but one of the best stays of our trip. The beds like everywhere were hard. Luckily they had a couple of extra pillows in the cupboard that helped with making it more comfortable to sleep.

The hotel owner came to pick us up at Kawaguchiko station and was very helpful, giving us area and logistics tips. We traveled with our 2 year daughter, and we felt very welcome which is important when traveling with a baby. The room was clean and the hotel overall in good care conditions. Good location too, buses walking distance and just near the lake. We didn't have good weather, but that's not the hotel's fault! Nothing to complain about :)
