Service was perfect and everyone helped with each request efficiently and completely. Onsen was very nice, not crowded and had a beautiful view of the waterfall.. tiaras are worn all over the hotel and to meals which was very relaxing. Beds are set up during dinner but I asked for them early to rest.

This Japanese ryokan was lovely. The grounds were beautiful and the food was delicious. The onsen hot springs baths were relaxing and clean. The shuttle bus from the train station was appreciated. There was a bit of a smell from the shower room. We did not use it because we used the onsen but when we opened the door, it had a funny odor.

Loved everything! Best way to relax and let your body soak into the onsen waters. Food 10/10 also! If you don't have a vehicle, the place is a little hard to get to and costs around 8,000¥ to taxi if you miss the bus. However they have a free shuttle but again if you miss it your options are limited.

The breakfast buffet was wonderful, wide variety and fresh baked bread. The dinner was great with a wide variety local foods to try. The suite we had was great with a hot tub on the balcony and view of the mountain, garden and stream below. The public baths were great. The town is easily walkable, enjoyable, scenic, and everyone was nice. Nothing.

Excellent with local foods and variety of choices. I love onsen very much but Onsen on third floor quite difficult. Staff should bring us to show all places. I have asked for basket for onsen. The answer was no basket for my room type. I do not understand for small things like basket should be in every room.

The whole property was amazing- the building was immaculate on the inside, the rooms were spacious and quiet with a great view, the onsens were BEAUTIFUL, like straight out of a fairytale picturesque! Honestly, there really wasn’t anything we disliked about the property during our stay!

The different onsens for choosing, the huge room with private bath, staff attention to details, shuttle service to and fro, surrounding area allow small hike and of cos, kaiseki dinner. We stayed 2 nights and it was both Kaiseki dinner. A previous ryokan served us kaiseki for first night then sukiyaki for second night. It was great to have variety. One of the indoor onsen's cleanliness can be better. I saw clumps of algae floating around.

Loved everything. Location was stunning, food exceptional, service excellent, traditional room gorgeous and exactly what we wanted to get an authentic experience. This stay was one the ultimate highlights of our 4 week trip to Japan. As westerners, we were not quite comfortable to bathe with strangers, so booked the private baths which were excellent. Does feel like we missed out a little on experiencing the public baths, but that is our issue to deal with. As this was our first time at an Onsen, it felt like the right option for us.

Choices of Public bath and all of them have a beautiful view. Breakfast and dinner are well prepared with varieties of food and drink

Comfortable and restful. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is good. Room temperature can’t be controlled in a conventional way.

For us, it was the most authentic Japan experience that we have had. Very nice and helpful staff. The location in the mountains was also very. Dinner was special and the breakfast buffet expansive & varied.
