The room was clean and comfortable. Dinner was also delicious, and private onsen was nice (although, water was EXTREMELY hot - be careful). Staff was friendly and serviceable. The hotel has seen better days. You can tell there were glory days back in the day, but it felt like a ghost town inside. I assume Covid has taken a toll on the budget and something is got to give. Like the lack of water in the huge water fountain in the lower level, lack of a real bar service, the poor breakfast choices (specially if you are vegetarian or western).

The staff escorted us everywhere. That the swimming pool was closed. It was a big reason why I booked this location.
