Staff were friendly and helpful, dinner was nice, Location was excellent. They did have activities available which i am sure would have been nice but we only stayed for one evening Wi-Fi terrible, time of year encourage midges so although the room was very warm bordering on tropical we could not open a window, the room was tiny and in need of some serious tlc

Lovely location with plenty to do nearby. Breakfast was really good. I had high expectations due to the pictures and price point. Unfortunately, hairs and stains were present in the room. There were also some details that you’d have expected to be sorted which weren’t. E.g. broken tap on the sink, dirty windows and broken light. Usually I don’t like to leave negative reviews, but given the price point I was left extremely disappointed. My overall impression is that the lodge is trying to establish itself as an upmarket stay but lacks the resources to meet the standards in order to justify the price. Ending on a positive, I really enjoyed the breakfast.

Conveniently located with good parking. Very nice and helpful staff, easy check in. Good breakfast. Small rooms (we had triple). Old and run down bathroom with shower in the tub and some old black markings around the bath tub. Felt very aged . Stirling town itself is not most impressive in highland route.

A beautiful, period boutique hotel right on the shore. Our room was large and very comfortable. The team were really friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant was exceptional. We’ll definitely stay again.

Location, character, and helpful staff. Comfortable bed. It’s nothing special for the price you pay. £354 for one night is ridiculous when you don’t get so much as a complimentary whisky in your room. Also breakfast cheaps out on ingredients, for example using the most processed cheap bread for toast. Stayed in places 3 times as good for less than half the price while on the NC500.

It hides behind the old, quirky character but the finish is poor, carpets in bedroom old and stained, old cobwebs on windows, poorly renovated bathrooms. Staff poorly presented and and scruffy in a fine dining restaurant.

Staff friendly Breakfast great Dinner excellent Views to die for. Big room. Comfy bed. Publuc dpaces great. Ensuite bathroom minute. Shower only worked hand held. No window or fresh air. Space out of proportion to big suite. Windows poorly maintained. Cobwebs in windows. Room tired in terms of decor etc No outdoor comfortable space. Missed oppirtunity to maximise even allowing for mudges which were not bad ! Over priced.
