Harbor House Hotel and Marina at Pier 21

Absolutely great hotel. Had an old authentic feel but with modern amenities. The town itself is great. Slow moving southern town. Lots of places to eat and things to do. If you are taking a cruise I’d highly recommend it. It’s within walking distance of the ports. They also offer a shuttle for those who don’t want to walk. Will def be a customer for life

Very clean, nice, close to nice bars and the cruise where we were going.

The desk associate was rude and had no interest in giving us any recommendations.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Not only was the room in perfect condition, the entire property was, too. Ample towels, nice linens, hot water, and cold a/c was very much appreciated. The breakfast provided was so well thought out with plenty of options. We especially enjoyed the pancake machine and the overall cleanliness of the breakfast room. We will stay here again! It was a fantastic experience. 10/10 highly recommend!

Great place to stay before our cruise. Great location to cruise port and the Strand.

Ac in the room was terrible. Also the the shower did not drain. You had to stand in your nasty water the entire shower

When I arrived, the attendent who checked me in, did not pull up the correct account. My mistake also for not catching it. I signed the paperwork. When I got to the room it was a single bed for 4 people. I went back down to let her know my reservation was for 2 queens. She argued with me that I booked a King room. I showed her my reservation confirmation and she changed me to a correct room occupancy. Right before bed time, the manager knocked on my door to check if anyone was in room. He told he the person who was suppose to have this room checked in. He would need for me to come down to the desk and have my credit card reran on the correct account. He told me I could stay in same room. The manager was very polite about it, but said he would have a talk with the person who checked me in. Overall, I love the hotel. I will always stay here before cruising. Love the parking at the hotel. Very convenient!

Great parking for cruise trip

Great stay and a perfect location! The Strand is within walking distance quick had shops, restaurants and music.

Right on the cruise port. Staff was very helpful with suggestions. Good breakfast. Worth the price.

A/C turning on and off during the night woke me up several times. Turning only the fan on and it was great.

Dee was very helpful and courteous. We loved the coziness of the hotel and quiet atmosphere. There is some construction going on around the hotel, but not bothersome.

Room and staff were good, the only issue, the room smelled muggy, like a little moldy in the wall A/C unit. I cannot handle that smell, so not sure I can stay in this hotel again. Other than that, it is so easy and close to walk to the ship/cruise, and two seafood restaurants on either side of it. Very nice.

The room was well designed, clean and comfortable. The staff was very professional and friendly. We would definitely go back.

After prepaying for two rooms, the hotel management decided to allow a guest to stay another night and bumped one of our reservations to another hotel (weather delays caused check in to around 9:30). That party was a family of 4 and the room they were given at the other hotel had 1 bed. So they all had to sleep in one king bed. Totally unacceptable. So beware, if you have reservations, at the hotel’s discretion, you may be moved to another hotel without notice. I would not give them my business again.

The staff, clean room and availability.. my flight got into Houston very late due to a delay.. I called and advised them of the situation and I was allowee to check in way pass the alotted time 2 check in, which helped me tremendously! Im forever grateful

Room was very clean. A’/C worked great (if you’ve ever been to the gulf you’ll understand this). Staff was friendly. Close proximity to party boats and cruise pier.

After a long and tiring journey, she immediately recognized how exhausted we were and went above and beyond to make sure we could get settled, rest, and recharge. Her kindness, understanding, and genuine hospitality meant so much to us. It’s those thoughtful little things that truly make a difference when you’re traveling. Thank you, Beatrice, for taking such great care of us and making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. You are a wonderful representation of Harbor House hospitality!
