Wingate by Wyndham Galveston Beachfront at the Seawall

Recently updated and clean Breakfast was very minimal

I like staying g at this hotel it's close to the beach . The bathroom did not have any shampoo , didn't have any extra towels there were only 2 towels. The elevator was not working ,the ice machine was not working.

The hotel is starting to get rundown, the swimming pool water was dirty, there were small repairs needed, the laundry did not work. The free breakfast ws prtty nonexistant. You could make waffles or toast. The coffee and an orange juice dispenser were empty. Overall I would not stay here again. I did not live up to the Wyndham name.

beach front property The first room was used before we got there and looked like someone had just left there. pillows were missing and comforters were missing. the second room was not cleaned up well and the beds were not made, the comforters were not on the beds. the pool was not available to us that paid for rooms. the floors were sticky and had not been mopped, walking on the floors barefooted made our feet black. we were locked out of our room for the second day and we had to get new cards to get in.

Nothing Everything. Mold on shower curtain, door frame messed up and had to shove it in order to close properly, no blanket available just sheets, and to top it off they charged me $15 to park. Room was disgusting. I will never stay here again.

Bad

When we arrived there were no towels or soaps or anything else in the bathroom and only sheets on the bed, no blanket or spread. Shower curtain was stained and dirty. We asked at the front desk on 3 separate occasions to give us towels and each time they said they would send some but never did. My husband finally went down the next morning and he was finally given towels but we never got a blanket. The elevator was in disrepair and only worked some of the time.

This hotel is old, dirty, my sheet on the bed were super dirty, the service was horrible, not hot water in my room. they charge you $15 parking daily, I don’t know why the parking is horrible, patches everywhere. Been honest is been one of the worst hotel ever.

The room had no soap or towels other than a shower towel. No drinking glasses, plastic or even Styrofoam. The A/C sounded like a chainsaw and kept us awake, along with the drunks with their kids at the pool until 3am. The TV remote control did not work and the front desk said they were sending someone up to fix it. 45 minutes later I called again, and they said they were waiting for the maintenance man to return. 45 minutes after that I took the remote to the front desk myself. I knew it needed batteries, but they screwed the cover closed. The front desk unscrewed it and rummaged thru a drawer of old corroded batteries until he found 2 that weren't corroded or rusty. Didn't say sorry for the inconvenience, nothing. This place lacks hospitality experience. Please refund at least 50%.

There was nothing to like about this hotel. No face towels no tv air conditioner falling apart. Water in lobby was hot. Flies are the breakfast food.. the staff wasn’t that helpful this place doesn’t need to be open to serve the people

Clean room with great air conditioning and great location.

Hotel was dirty and stained inside and out, facility is very deteriorated not kept, pool water was amber yellow with brown stains at the bottom. Everything was so dirty and nasty that we had to leave and search for another hotel. I would NOT recommend to anyone

No blankets or any soap in the room and toilet and stink stayed backed up

The location Dirty, mold on the walls, tv didn’t work, had to ask for towels and bedspread no vending machine or ice.

Disappointing

Very clean room and quiet location. Very close to the beach and Sewell, literally across the street! Morning coffee and a light breakfast is included. This is a great option if you want a clean room and bathroom and across from beach without spending a ton on the room. The front desk staff is also very nice! Also great AC in our room!

Disappointing

I literally woke up to roaches crawling on me and my child! The room was nasty and never cleaned as a bar of used, sand filled soap was left in the shower. The floors were grimy and nothing was wiped down. The sheets were stained and the bed was broke. No amenities: no soap, shampoo/conditioner, no coffee in the room. They only had one comforter in a 2 bed room; only 2 towels with 4 person check in. We tried to check out asap in morning but the front desk said he couldn't and the manager would call us by Tuesday evening. NEVER DID. I've tried calling to get a hold of someone, NO ONE ANSWERS Expedia says this is a 4+ rating but Google shows 2.

Exceptional

The bad- one bar of soap and NOTHING else, no shampoo, or wash cloths, no blankets (only a top sheet on the bed), no hairdryer. Breaksfast was toast or cold cereal or waffle batter that was way too thin and made horrible waffles. If the price was less, we'd have expected less. Glad we were only here one night!
