I did not expect much because of the cost but it was nasty and the staff was rude. The also made me give them 100 deposit that was not mentioned when I paid with Expedia. There was mold and roaches that I have photos of. They also inspected the room prior to the return of the refund and she was trying to find something but it was cleaner than when I started. It also made me me late for work.

Staff member was very rude. There were no towels upon arrival and unable to locate staff. Room was very small unlike what the picture showed online.

Room was clean, view was great, air conditioner worked very well no cost to park. We stayed at a 4 star hotel in Houston that was worse as far as air conditioning and hidden outrageous parking fees. For the money the Mariner is a great place and will be where we book again if we ever get back to Galveston.

You know what this is nice hotel great location the staff was wonderful the pool was great obviously needs updating but that doesn’t keep it from been a good hotel definitely will stay again anytime

You can walk directly across the street to the beach. Down the road to local restaurants/bars. But if you want to really have fun take the ferry to Crystal Beach and hang out or drive down to The Stran it's pretty cool too!

Front desk was very professional and detailed .Hotel room so fresh and clean.The room was comfortable and cold .Restroom very clean . I liked that the room has floor. I can honestly say that I loved this trip due to my comfortable stay ..2 thumbs up to The Mariner . Keep up the good work 😊

My honest opinion is that this was indeed Not the spot for us. It gave great ocean views but the overall upkeep of the hotel lacking. Alot of rust within out room!! Uggggh! Maybe do to the salt from the ocean??? I do believe my negative reactions have everything to do with my personal standards. While this hotel has had some renovations recently the room in which we were in gave me the ick. I couldn't sleep. I immediately book another establishment, We did stay one night, but that was enough. The positives were the Air Conditioning work very well ,as well as the staff were friendly, but all and all this place was just not up to my liking nor standards.

I got 3 rooms for myself and 2 coworkers. One of the rooms had roaches. The evening staff was very rude. The lady in the office was very unprofessional. Would like to stay there again but not sure if i want to deal with her.

We stayed for three days it’s not a bad place to we had no problem with room or property beachfront is just walk across the road your there: I did I one problem with the pool first is doesn’t open till 2:00 and then it not clean as in hair floating a lot of small floating around it really just needs a little work it’s clean till you keep in then everything comes from the bottom but the room made up for that last thing the pool water was so HOT not cool or cold my girl was so made because I wouldn’t let her swim it broke her Heart for the price is well worth it.

also like that the office tenant accommodated us with our parking along with our trailer.

One night stay too costly for this oeiowety plus 100 deposit to get it back they had to come check.

The room was super dirty make up stain on the bed and towels! 260 dollars on the crappiest hotel ever dont stay here also theres no parking!

Staff are very friendly and the room was cleaned well except for the microwave but there were roaches. And I don’t do roaches. The pool worked only one of the two days we were there. But it does have a pretty ocean view. No breakfast 😢

The hotel is older. My room was clean. We also rented another room beside us and the TV and microwave didn't work. The pool was open 1 day even though it had sand in the bottom. The next day the pool was closed all day. The pool is small but it was enough for the kids. Plan better when cleaning the pool not to disappoint customers in 100 degree weather. And for chairs by the pool my 80 year old mother was told to bring own chair.😡. The ladies cleaning g were super nice and accommodating.
