Victoria Garden Hotel

The hotel is well located close to the old town area so just about everything in George town is walkable. The room was very comfortable, the staff were very friendly and willing to help out with everything. Happy to store bags before/after visit. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. Bed was good. a Gym would have been nice.

Near Little India and close to other places of interest Some parts of the room could have been cleaned better. I had called the hotel to mention that i would need the room cleaned well due to my dust and mould allergy- i was very disappointed to be told by the person i was talking to : "text me to remind me few days before you come" I didnt think that was professional. Your job is to remind yourself- not tell your guest to remind you!

Shower and closet doors didn’t close fully.

Lovely property, manager was very personable, helpful and knowledgeable. All the staff were excellent. Despite the large and amazing breakfast buffet, I found the "hot" food less than warm.

Rooms comfortable but as with new properties, rooms are getting smaller as I get older!

Walking distance to a lot of things. Good area. Clean and solid rooms. Good AC. No complaints

Breakfast was great. The woman who ran the breakfast area was very nice. She gave me some pandas leaves to take back to Canada

Overall a very good hotel. Quite new and clean. We liked how close it was to the ferry. The staff were very nice. The breakfast buffet needs a bit of work.

The breakfast buffet was nice, the room is clean and hotel staff are all great! Everything is good, only the toilet paper rack was loose but everything was nice.

Great location with the ferry very close. Easy walk to get to a lot of the old parts of the city and grab rides available to get further afield. Good variety of foods for the included breakfast. Room was clean, tidy and pretty quiet. Reception didn't inform me when my laundry had been delivered. Not a major, just a minor annoyance.

I loved the location! Right in the middle of historic George Town - just what I like. Well, for some reason we didn’t realize that breakfast wasn’t complimentary and the staff was a little snippy with us for our mistake. Otherwise it was a good experience.

The breakfast was excellent – I especially loved the freshly baked waffles, and every dish tasted like it was made with heart. The room finishing, bathroom, hotel interior, dining area, and parking were all superb.

Location was near Little India and bus terminus.Satisfactory Didn't get double bed & room facing the street. Only breakfast on 20th was disappointing had to take it outside for remaining 2 days

Location was amazing, and I liked that it never felt crowded. Service is just bad- front desk staff with the exception of 1 lady is generally either rude, or not helpful. What kind of hotel tries to refuse giving you a second key card for a room when you have your daughter staying on a separate floor? Definitely a contrast from most hotels in Malaysia where staff greets you with a friendly smile. Room is ok, but no soundproofing so noisy neighbors and street noise very audible. Shower drain was very slow so it felt like standing in a bathtub, and had to hurry as to not flood the bathroom floor. Breakfast is not great, just ok, but compared to the amazing food in Georgetown, somehow not very appealing. Since not many people opt for breakfast here the buffet seems to be a bit of a waste for the hotel. Fruits were fresh, and taste was acceptable, and the kitchen staff were the friendliest and most helpful staff in the entire hotel. I would stay here for the location and also since they have hotel parking but definitely not my favorite hotel experience.

Good location. Close to the heart of George Town. Easy to walk around for food and attraction spots. Good value for money. We requested for the second room key card at the reception and one of the staff was kind of reluctant to do so and kept telling me that loss of room key card charges RM100 and they were also lack of room key card which is nonsense and none of my business. He is not really rude but not really helpful

Free secure private parking with plenty of space. Just a few minutes' walk to the ferry jetty - the starting point for the free CAT bus, which means easy to go around to most tourist spots and eating places. Big comfortable bed. Good breakfast, despite being repetitive for the 2 days except for one main dish change. Waffles made fresh. Nothing.

Very comfortable stay, excellent location, especially if you're catching the ferry, lovely staff! Really appreciated being able to store out luggage. :)

The location is good, lots of restaurants and convenience stores around, nearby some places that I want to visit. The door of the bathroom was not in the good condition.
