the truck sampah coming to collect rubish in front of the hotel every night around 00-01AM. its very disturbing since the sound of truck is very loud

Lovely room and excellent location -- walking distance to everything in historic George Town. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I would happily stay there again! The only thing missing was a mini fridge in the room. It would have been nice for having cold drinks and storing food.

A little slow on the housekeeping and some minor maintenance issues.

The overall cleaning of the room, including towels, could be improved. Also, the bathroom door is not fully closed.

The location was perfect-very close to coffee shops restaurants and places to grab a drink. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The check in was smooth and there was always someone at the front desk to assist 24/7. Definitely recommend. N/A

If you want to experience a night or two in peranakan Melayu old house vibey, Sweet Cili is a perfect choice.

The room was clean and big enough. The staffs were friendly and helpful. Free refillable water and coffee. Location was also excellent! The room was not soundproof and we can clearly hear noises from outside (thankfully the staffs and the hotel was quite so it didnt bother us at all)

Very cute and cozy hotel and room located very central in George Town - very sweet staff that provided a room for us on the 1st floor as we wished for, and super easy communication via WhatsApp. The air condition worked perfectly! We stayed at sweet Cili during Thaipusam, and the area is very lively and loud some days! We enjoyed staying in the centre of the celebrations and it was so fun to witness the traditional celebrations right next to the hotel - but be aware that it will be noisy some days late in the evening and early in the morning if you stay here during thaipusam :)

The toilet is smelly... And the room soundproofing need to be improve, it was super loud every time vehicles passed by.

Great location, close to the jetties, city center, and food court. Right next to a lovely bar and dessert place too.

Attention to detail, beautiful old style decor. Cleanlness. Comfortable bed. Friendly and polite staff I stayed for 4 nights in Room 1 , which is behind the lobby and next to the staff toilet. so I had 4 nights of bad and interrupted sleep because of noise coming from both areas. I don’t blame the staff, they were really great, I just think that is a design flaw. Also the room did not look the same as was indicated on Booking.com.

Everything. What I like the most is that the staffs were friendly. I requested for prayer mat but the hotel doesn't provide any but the lady at reception gave us towels to replace the prayer mat. Very helpful and she was very friendly. The hotel was clean. Love the seating area space next to my bed. Hotel provides body wash/shampoo and toothbrushes. Hotel only have 3 parking spaces.

The staff were nice, they let us see the inside of the hotel rooms before we booked. There is a common room (pantry) area for us to have some coffee or water. Wish they prepare some biscuits or sell some bread or kuih there, would have been nice. My daughter accidentally broke a glass in the pantry area, but the staff was very accommodating and helped cleaned up. The unit is tastily decorated, my family loved it. Would have been good if there is 2 toilets :) We walked to some festival nearby and scoot around with electric motorcycles. We loved the overall experience, might come back - but maybe we might also want to try other hotels nearby next time to see how it compares At night it was somehow noisy, maybe the noise from the bars nearby.

It is a quaint little place with retro style furnishings. Free filtered water, and tea and coffee is available. My room shared a wall with the bar next door. Meaning I had a front row seat for the music blaring from the bar. I asked the staff when the music will turn off, and they asked me when I wanted it to be turned off! It was after 9:30 pm when I finally asked them to do something so I could go to sleep. I had booked for 6 nights, but after the first night, I realised it would be impossible to have a nice holiday in a room filled with bar music.

It’s very noisy during the night as it is located near to the road and noise protection is very bad.
