It was my first time staying at a party hostel, and after spending two nights here, I can honestly say it became one of the best memories of my trip! Basically, the hostel organizes activities every night. On my first night, there was a Music Bingo event, and it was SO much fun! I quickly became friends with other guests, and singing and dancing together was such an amazing experience. On the second day, I joined the hostel’s snorkeling tour and sunset tour. The snorkeling tour was combined with guests from other hostels, but we got to see the famous underwater statues, turtles, and even visit other Gili islands, which was really enjoyable. The sunset tour was only for Atlas guests, and we were able to jump off the boat and swim in the ocean while watching the sunset. It was the perfect opportunity to make new friends with other hostel guests. Another great point is the location. It’s less than a 10-minute walk from the harbor, which made moving around very easy, especially with luggage. The beach is also within walking distance, so it was nice to casually explore the island whenever I wanted. Breakfast (pancakes) and dinner (either nasi goreng or mie goreng) were included in the accommodation price, so it almost felt free! On the second night, there was also a Tattoo Night event, where I made even more friends. The hostel bar hosts parties until around 10pm, but after that, everyone moves to a club called Tequila Sunrise, so the hostel actually becomes quiet afterward. I had plans early the next morning, so I went to sleep earlier, and I was able to sleep peacefully without noise. The staff were also all incredibly friendly. Especially the female reception staff — she remembered my name and always greeted me warmly with a smile whenever she saw me! The male staff also helped carry my heavy suitcase to my room, and overall every staff member was wonderful. There is no hair dryer available. Also, the beds do not have curtains, so this hostel may not be ideal for people who care a lot about privacy. I’ve stayed in many hostels before, and this was actually my first time staying somewhere without bed curtains. However, personally, it didn’t bother me that much. Another thing was that the blanket on the bed was quite thin, and I woke up several times during the night because I felt cold. I think part of the reason was also that my hair was still wet since there was no hair dryer. However, even though it was around 3am, there were still staff members downstairs, and when I asked for an extra blanket, they immediately gave me one. Thanks to that, I was able to stay warm and sleep comfortably until morning, which I really appreciated. So for a short stay of a few days, I don’t think these are major problems at all. The fun memories and amazing experiences here far outweighed the negatives!

Amazing vibe

The room was quite damp and smelly all the time, found some cockroaches in the room, very limited space to dry wet clothes.

This was my first hostel! I’m afraid it set the bar really high!!! I had so much fun, met so many people. Every night they had events that brought people closer like beer pong night or music karaoke! Then we’d all go to the local bars together. During the day they had events like boat parties. Truly an amazing experience so good I went to their second location in nusa penida!

The only downside was that the bathroom in my room didn’t have a window, which made it feel a bit stuffy and humid at times.

the location and the staff were great. but the bathrooms were smelling really bad and it was kind of disgusting

Hot water, card payment available. The shower drain was clogged, and every time I showered, the whole place would flood. The layout of the hostel is quite uncomfortable.

I had an amazing time at Atlas Hostel! The atmosphere was super relaxed, the location was perfect, and everything was clean and well-organized. What really made my stay special was Sam, one of the volunteers. She was incredibly kind, helpful, and always made sure everyone felt welcome. Whether it was giving great local tips or just having a fun chat, Sam truly made my experience unforgettable. Thanks to everyone at Atlas Hostel!
