The manager was very helpful, he manage to find a perfect bike for my size, with a fair price, and fill our water bottle daily (bottled water in this island can cost like 4x the normal price) The lighting in the room is very dim (2 out of 4 light bulbs in the room were broken), also the walls could use some touch up/maintenance

Great location and wonderful staff who helped us resolve a travel issue with generosity and kindness.

We loved the staff, very friendly and were efficient when checking us in. The problem with our stay was the cleanliness of our room. To start, our bed didn’t even have a fitted sheets. They had two horizontal single sheets layed across, not to mention they were stained. The pillows were also stained, and we found a few bugs in the bed. The toilet was leaking, and the roof had a massive hole, wasn’t fully covered. The AC also didn’t work. Nor did the door fully close. That being said, the staff were amazing. Believe this is the owners fault, not the fault of the staff.

The property is cute, the staff are incredible people. So kind and helpful with booking extra things! Unfortunately, the rooms are not the nicest. AC does not work super well but this is because it is a bungalow that is not properly insulated. The shower is outdoors so it gets very dirty and lots of bugs. No hot water either:( I don’t think the sheets were super clean and the towels smelled really bad like cat pee or body odor:( location is fine since gili is small but it’s about as far away as you can be from the Main Street

Even if you were in the centre of the isle you only needed about 5 minutes to head the beach. I had a comfortable bed with air conditioner in the room and an outside bathroom. The host organised a snorkelling trip which was very cheap. Unfortunately I got a different room than described. But I talked with the host and he gave me another room, which was in better condition and with balcony ☀️. But be prepared you will hear the mosques and maybe people who party. But your on Gili T. so it’s normal.

Staff were friendly and helpful, with assisting in organising snorkelling trips, bile rentals etc. This accomodation has lots of potential to be considered to exceed expectations, whilst it was reasonably clean and somewhat resembled the photos, it is a little run down in places and could do with a few small touches to elevate guest experience within the rooms. There was no soaps or shower gels offered in the bathroom. Whilst I understand this is a more budget conscious choice of accomodation, other places I have stayed within this price range do offer this.

I got a discounted rate via Booking.com during low season, so I am happy with my stay. Don’t expect a premium or hotel-like experience, this is a great value option for travellers on a backpacker budget. Located not far from the harbour, but far enough that you can sleep peacefully. I particularly liked the dark wooden hut style of the rooms. The staff here are a bunch of young men who are very friendly. How to find the property: type ‘Gili Desa’ into Google Maps. Gili House One and Gili Desa are two businesses that share the same property. I got a great deal for a fast boat + shuttle transfer from Gili T to Ubud from the friendly staff at Gili Desa (325k). You can also rent a bicycle from them for 40k. More attention could be paid to cleaning (the floor mats in the bedrooms, the rubbish outside on the ground).

For the price you’re paying, this really is a fantastic place to stay at. Absolutely love the unique stay experience in these wooden built houses/rooms. So comfortable and the location is perfect! Not too far from the main street but away enough to avoid the loud noise. Nothing!

Cozy little retreat in Gili. All the basics plus more, friendly staff and adequate facilities esp for the price. Little hard to find at first, but staff was helpful.
