Coconut Garden Resort

Very nice room and big bathroom, incredibly clean. Staff always greeted us with a smile and helped with tips on what to do around the island as soon as we arrived. Pool was good, room has a terrace with a hammock. Rented bikes from the hotel which got us all around the island (hotel is in the middle, so 5-10min biking to either side of the island). Hotel restaurant had some good options, amazing value for the price! Location is not directly on the beach (but easily accessible by bike or scooter), so not a problem for us, actually nice to be away from the louder main streets in my opinion. Wifi (and data) are unreliable, but it’s understandable and it’s all through satellite, and on an island. Just keep that in mind in case wifi is important for your trip! Otherwise, take the opportunity to disconnect! :)

The staff were extremely kind and welcoming from the very first moment. They always smiled, were genuinely helpful, and made us feel truly taken care of. Breakfast was excellent every morning — fresh, tasty, and the perfect start to the day. One detail we really appreciated was the minibar. It was fully stocked, not just with the usual basics, but also with thoughtful items that made us feel like the staff were always one step ahead of anything a guest might need. The prices were completely reasonable too, so we didn’t even have to buy drinks or snacks outside on Gili T. Considering the quality of the rooms, the quiet environment, the beautiful garden, and the kindness of the staff, the value for money is just perfect. This resort is a hidden gem on Gili Trawangan and we would definitely choose it again. Highly recommended! If we had to mention one small downside, it would be the access road to the resort — it’s a bit more challenging, but completely understandable since the hotel is located in the peaceful centre of Gili T. And honestly, anyone looking for a quiet, paradise-like atmosphere will find the short walk worth it. Plus, you can always take a local horse cart taxi, ride an e-scooter, or go by bicycle, as there are no cars on the island.

The location is a little away from the prime street

On first glance the room was good and the pool was very inviting. Breakfast was nice but slow service. I really doubt they changed the bedding and sheets from the previous guest and there was hair on the bathroom floor and seemed like the previous occupant had checked out only moments before. The next day when I was asked if I wanted my room cleaned and I said yes they did not empty the toilet bin and again only remade the bed. This leads me to further believe I had only slept in a remade bed from the previous person. The pool is full of dead flies so they are obviously not cleaning it out regularly. The male reception member did not give me my change when I slightly overpaid for bike hire. It should not be underestimated how far this place is from the coast and it is pitch black at night trying to find the accommodation. The staff seemed annoyed when I asked for directions from the hotel to places as it's really not easy. I paid too much to sleep in a dirty bed and the associated risks that brings.

I loved the snack and mini fridge. I would like to have had coffee available in the room.

A very cozy stay and and a very helpful and sweetheart host

Beautiful hotel, cosy, clean. They provided us with bikes (had to pay extra). Breakfast was delicious. Friendly staff. Also decorated our room because it was our anniversary, very sweet. Quite far from ferry, 20min walk in the sun with bag is bit tough. Would be nice if somehow you could rent the bikes from the ferry so you could bike on arrival. But still great stay 10/10.

It was a great location just outside the busy town section, but with the bikes (that you can rent from the property) just a 10 minute cycle from either sunset side or the port area. The staff were amazing especially Nia made our stay amazing. Breakfast is amazing and the property is super clean.

Everything about this resort was great! Clean room, friendly staff and beautiful interior/exterior. BREAKFAST WAS AMAZING! Just a little far to walk from the ferry drop off place to the resort (21 mins). We chose to walk because we don't want to use the horses (they look so poorly treated) :((((. But we got used to walking by our 2nd day hahahaha so it's doable!

Dreamiest spot, nicely organized and very well taken care of. Surrounded by nature, yet close enough to anything you might need. Loved the attention to detail, the mattresses are the best, the nets in the bathrooms are genius and the baskets with anything one might need in the rooms are ideal. Great staff team, friendly and beyond helpful, making you feel right at home. Nothing, really. It’s one of my favourite locations.

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! We had only booked for 2 nights but were hoping to stay for a third one. Sandy immediately reached out to us when he noticed there was a last minute room available. He also helped organize daily trips. Same for Jack and staff at the kitchen, the food was delicious! Also, a lot of cute cats around, which is always nice :D

Had the best stay at Coconut Garden Resort in Gili T! With so many options, I’m glad I picked this one. It’s small but super cozy, peaceful yet close enough to the party scene, like Rabbit Jump beach club, if you’re up for it, about 2-minute bike ride to the sunset beach clubs and 5 minutes to the sunrise side and snorkeling area where you can spot turtles. The staff was super helpful with recommendations, one of the receptionists, Jeki, suggested Sumi Sate, just a 2-3 minute bike ride away, and it was really good! Definitely worth a try. You can always ask the receptionist for food spots, and they also rent bikes for 50k IDR/day to make exploring easier. The room was beautiful, cozy, and even had enough space for yoga. Breakfast was decent, but what made it really special? The people. The staff were all amazing, but Jeki and Nia? Absolute legends. Not just great at their jobs but also so fun to be around. Never thought I’d make new friends in Gili, but here we are. Definitely coming back.! Room service could be better. I ordered a couple of times because of the rain I couldn't go out, but the food was just okay. The nasi goreng was a bit too soggy and too sweet for me, and the chicken fingers had a thick batter that was tough to bite into. Not a big deal, though, there are plenty of great restaurants on the island.

Lovely sized room! Well stocked mini bar. Polite staff. Amazing breakfast. Woman on the front desk very helpful. Left my phone and boat tickets behind and they sent someone after us with them.

The resort is peaceful and quiet, far away from the crowds and loud music. You can relax and enjoy the silence on your private terrace or by the pool. Our villa, cabin style, was very cozy and nice. It had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Good air con and a ceiling fan. The place is in the "jungle" so you can expect lots mosquitos and having a repellent is a must. The breakfast was great, you have several options to choose from, and the coffee was just amazing! They rent good bikes, which is the main way to get around the island. Very friendly and helpful staff. On arrival they give you a map of the island with a lot of recommendations of places and activities. Our villa had no mosquito net in the bathroom. The place is in the "jungle" so you can expect lots mosquitos and having a repellent is a must.
