rooms were in great condition, AC worked perfectly, clean and spacious rooms, beds comfortable, water dispenser, fridge is there :) Easy without any problem in walking distance from pier (so no need to take a horse-taxi). Also it is not on main road so it is not noisy there. Almost forget to menton about nice pool and tasty breakfast! Last but not least you can leave the luggage and stay on the beach!

I found this little gem of a hotel via booking.com and am so happy I stayed here! I checked in on the Saturday afternoon and checked out on the Monday morning so 2 nights is perfect! It has a really lovely family feel and being a solo female traveller I felt safe at all times. Guests staying at the hotel were also super friendly (lots of families with children) which is super nice being able to chat to them either poolside or at breakfast. The walk to the hotel from the ferry is only 15 mins (I only had a carry on which made it easier) but if you have large suitcases it might take a bit longer. My bathroom and bedoom was very clean and no mosquitos at all inside which is a relief .. but I recommend you take the Balinese mozzie spray with you as they definitely bite when you are outside any time of the day!!! The hotel rents bicycles out for 24 hours which I did so I could cycle down to watch the sunset.... pure magic! (otherwise it's quite a walk!). It's really nice to cycle around the island to see what it has to offer. I did the day snorkelling tour which the hotel offers at RP150,000 (the travel places on the main strip offer the same but at $RP200,000) and it was a fabulous day out! I highly recommend! I followed this up that evening with the Pub Crawl on the Sunday night with 2 young lovely Aussie couples from Perth that I'd met on the snorkelling tour and this was so much fun! Also make sure you go to the seafood market for dinner... very fresh and cooked right in front of you! Overall the management at this hotel are just wonderful and their staff are very friendly, always smiling and it was such a pleasure staying here!! I didn't realise that the bedroom was upstairs in my villa.. bathroom is downstairs and the stairs leading to the bedroom are quite steep. This is probably in the listing but I didn't pick up on this. I had no issues going up and down the stairs but definitely held onto the handrailings at all times!! If you have a bad knee or struggle to go up/down steep stairs best to reconsider. At no time is this a bad review .. just want to bring it to your attention. Hope this helps!

PROS • Prime Location: Very central — 5 mins from the harbour and 10–15 mins walk to sunset bars. Close to top-rated restaurants and convenience stores • Beautiful Grounds: The hotel is "picture perfect" with lush greenery, statues and a great pool offering both shade and sun throughout the day. I loved the front veranda/chilling area of the rooms; it felt very private and quiet. • Room & Comfort: Large bathroom and bedroom, with a VERY comfortable bed. Note: The stairs to the bedroom are not an issue unless you have serious mobility concerns • Amenities & Breakfast: Powerful AC, reliable Wi-Fi, and a large fridge with affordable sodas. Plenty of hangers in the bedroom to dry your clothes. The breakfast is both generous and high quality, served from 7;30 to 10:30 am • Exceptional Staff: The team was incredibly kind, polite, and always smiling CONS • Room Layout: Power outlets are not located near the bed • Missing Items : hair dryer or in-room safe

The rooms are good but the stairs to the bedroom are narrow and loud. Overall, a bit to pricey for what you get (in my opinion).

Beautiful property and good location to activities on the east side of the island. Staff was always friendly and ready to help you with anything you needed. Also happy they had free drinking water to help cut down on plastic waste. Breakfast was a nice added bonus too! You will still hear noise from the partying in town, and the back alley has loud people talking and yelling throughout the night on their walks to and from the bars. Not much Marta’s hotel can do about that, but was just a bit disruptive to our sleep. And you can hear the mosque decently well from the rooms. Overall still very happy with our stay at Marta’s!

Location Family Friendly and spacious

Great location, walking distance to the ferry terminal and the Main Street, restaurants and shops. But far enough from any noise. Great staff and facilities. Our family loved it and will stay again. Nil

It was very close to the port, shops and restaurants. It was very well maintained and clean. The breakfast was tasty. There is nothing wrong with this property but it is situated next to mosque and they play song very loud at 5am and few times per day. But this is normal on the Indonesian island.

Hotel was very well located, near the jetty but away from the main road where there's more noise and dust. Staff were extremely hospitable and friendly and went out of their way to service us. Loved the beautifully tendered garden and landscape. The place is clean and quite pretty. The toilet was downstairs which we were aware of at the time of booking but stairs turned out to be steep (we are a group of seniors, no problem for the young). Hotel is near mosque and prayers start at 5am for about 10-15min. Unfortunately, we couldn't go back to sleep after waking up. The little villas are just good for sleeping accommodation, sofa and any gathering is outside on the patio. It was hot when we visited and we had to deal with mosquitos (prevalent in Lombok).
