The lobby is beautiful and the open-air restaurant has a great view. We understand that hotels near the pyramids are expensive, which is why we chose a room advertised as having a pyramid view and confirmed this with the hotel before arrival. (Although the name is Mountain View.) Unfortunately, the room we received looked completely different from the photos shown for that room type. The cleanliness and maintenance of the room were also concerning. The towel rack in the bathroom was installed backwards, one towel was placed directly on the toilet seat, and the toilet seat and lid were broken. The hotel admitted they were already aware of the issue but had not repaired it beforehand. Both bedsheets had several hairs, and there was even a dead insect on one of the towels on the bed. After we reported this, the hotel did send staff to replace them. When we tried to shower, there was no hot water and the water pressure was extremely weak. The hotel explained that two rooms share one water heater and asked us to wait about 20 minutes. They offered complimentary Coke and juice while we waited. However, even when hot water became available, the water flow remained extremely weak. We also noticed the heater indicator stayed in the orange zone the entire time and never reached the red zone until checkout, which made the explanation questionable. The sink drain pipe was also leaking. Restaurant staff still asked for tips even though a 12% service charge was already included.

I really loved my stay at Samara Pyramids Inn. The hotel was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the view of the pyramids was beautiful. The location was perfect and the room was comfortable Nothing at all. Everything was excellent and better than expected

Good staff. You can find the same level of hotel for a much better price. Furthermore, when you consume anything at the hotel, whether drinks or food, the Sahara Hotel charges 12% + 14%, = 26%, on the bill. And they're the only ones who do this because we changed hotels and the other places didn't charge those percentages on food.

Location is fine. Okay.

The view from the terrace Where to begin, because this was downright awful. The only positive was perhaps the location, just a stone's throw from the Giza site and offering a beautiful view of the pyramids. Unfortunately, this doesn't make up for the shortcomings; the toilet runs constantly, the shower leaks, and you can claim the award for the loudest fridge in a room, it would be here. And then there's the whole construction site at the front of the hotel, who feel the need to work at 1:00 in the morning. Lots of noise in the hallway, absolutely no respect for quiet hoirs. We didn't find it particularly clean either; its ok but meh. The staff here are your average Egyptians; too simple to hold a conversation with, so don't bother trying. Breakfast is basic. The Wi-Fi only worked only half. No, absolutely not recommended. And certainly not for that price. If it had been a hostel, then maybe. But then again, not a high-flyer. Failed!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Giza! The value for money is excellent, and the staff went above and beyond to make my experience special. After I checked out, they contacted me to let me know they had found my AirPods and 50 euros in the room. At that time, I was already in Sharm, and they kindly arranged to ship everything to me there. I don’t think every hotel would do that — they are truly honest, kind, and very helpful. I really appreciate their effort and hospitality. Highly recommended!
