The Pipers' Tryst Hotel
About The Pipers' Tryst Hotel
With a central Glasgow location, The Pipers’ Tryst Hotel is a unique 4-star restaurant with rooms located at The National Piping Center - the home of Scottish Bagpiping. Free Wi-Fi is accessible throughout and as a registered charity, all profits go back into teaching the bagpipes within Scotland and locations worldwide. The Pipers’ Tryst offers bedrooms decorated in a Scottish theme, and feature private bathrooms with a bath and double-headed rainfall shower. Each room includes a flat-screen TV, a desk and tea/coffee making facilities. A full Scottish breakfast is included in the room rate with a choice of tea/coffee, fruit juice, a continental buffet and full cooked options. The award-winning restaurant offers an à la carte menu based around ‘farm assured’ produce. The menus change through the seasons and offer fresh local Scottish produce. We feature a selection of hand-selected wines, craft-brewed Scottish beers and cider and bespoke gins from all over Scotland. The attractions of Glasgow city center are 5 minutes’ walk away. Glasgow School of Art and the RCS are on the doorstep, along with The Theater Royal, Glasgow Film Theater and Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.

Hidden gem of a hotel, lovely staff and rooms were comfortable and clean ✨️
-
Staff were friendly., though manager did not deal with a problem as well as we would like. Excellent breakfast. good resturants in walking distance. Bath was dirty with black dirt and sparkles. Was not dealt with when brought to managers attention immediately. Offer of 50 % off next visit did not appeal.

Staff at the hotel were lovely and the breakfast was delicious.

Comfortable. Staff were all lovely. Nothing

Great location to CBD. Easy to find. The usual - soundproofing not the best. These older buildings are full of character but not very solid between rooms or floors!

The Pipers ' Tryst is exactly what you look for on a visit to Glasgow (and our introduction to Scotland): clean rooms, friendly service, nice breakfast, lots of local character, and a perfect location. We loved being able to check out the adjoining National Piping Centre and chatting with their knowledgeable staff! Our room and en suite were of modest size (but so was the price!). Limited access for our taxi dropoff but we could see the entry a few yards away and walked across the road with our luggage. There are some entry steps, but available assistance. I will say there was some nighttime street noise: fairly loud student-age voices from a nearby building -- not so easy to block out given there's no AC so window needed to be open. A quickly downloaded white noise app helped (and frankly, things quieted down reasonably quickly).

Warm welcome, comfortable bed and well appointed bathroom, excellent food at dinner and breakfast. Stairs a little awkward for carrying luggage - no lift.

We really enjoyed how clean and comfortable the rooms were. The amenities were lovely. We especially enjoyed the coffee, tea and cookies Having a breakfast available to us was convenient. The stairs, but that can’t be helped.

I liked everything. The welcome I received on both nights that I stayed here was wonderful. On one of the nights I chose to have dinner in the restaurant and that was really superb! Breakfast options were amazing, too. I loved my stay, thank you to all the staff! Nothing to dislike
