Epoch Stone House

Great location and the manager is very good about arranging activities and transportation. Breakfast was excellent and very filling. The young lady who prepared it, a refugee from Iran, was very friendly and attentive. The rooftop terrace was good for viewing the scenery and the balloons. The restroom got very fragrant and the shower leaked onto the floor. Fortunately, the door could be closed, trapping the odor.

Clean and simple room but with a wonderful terrace to watch hot air ballons fly on top of you in the morning. I am grateful to the host for giving us a room early as our bus arrived so early in the morning. We were able to rest before walking around Göreme. Location is right in the center of Goreme to dine, shop, and get to a Hamman for a bath and massage. We were picked up from the stone house for our Mixed green and red tour and for our ride to the airport. Delicious Turkish breakfast served. Hot strong shower. My favorites are the wide window and door leading to the terrace. My suggestions are: Add 2 more panels to the curtains for better privacy. It could be cheap plain curtains as it is important to cover the windows and door for privacy and to block out the light. Spray the base of the shower door some Tilex or chlorine to remove the mold and mildew. The bathroom smelled of sewer so I had to wear a mask inside the room to block the smell. A plumber needs to be consulted. A pee trap is essential to eliminate the foul smell.

Epoch Stone House is a great stay right in the center of Göreme, perfect location and excellent value for money. The host was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond, even taking me to get my car tyre fixed when I couldn’t have managed it on my own. He also arranged activities for us at very good prices. A couple of small improvements would be adding a dustbin in the room (not just the bathroom) and a mirror in the room. Otherwise, a fantastic experience overall. N/a

Great location, helpful stuff, good breakfasts.

Location I’m honestly shocked that Epoch Stone House has such good ratings. I’ve been to Göreme twice before and all my previous stays were waaaaaaay better than this. From the moment we arrived, it was a mess. Check in time was supposed to be 1pm, but there was no one there. The office was completely empty. We waited, called and messaged with no response. We ended up knocking on doors trying to find someone, even though there barely seemed to be any other guests. Eventually we found a cleaner who phoned the manager. His response was that he would rather finish his lunch than come and check us in. Throughout the stay, staff were never on duty. The office was always empty and messages were ignored. It felt like there was no management or supervision at all. Breakfast was also very disappointing. It is advertised as a buffet, but that is completely misleading. There was no buffet, just half an egg and some dry bread with no butter. The breakfast room was empty most of the time and eventually someone would rush in to help, but everything felt unorganised. There are much better places to stay in Göreme where you actually feel welcomed and looked after. I would not stay here again. As im typing this i realise some more issues. I booked queen bed but got two single beds pushed together, no water or electricity for hours. Shower broken.. the list of stuff just goes on.. no im done go see for urself

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Epoch Stone House in Göreme, hosted by the incredibly kind and attentive Ugur. The **location** is unbeatable – right in the heart of Göreme, just steps away from the main bus station, shops, restaurants, and key attractions like the Open Air Museum and sunset viewpoints. It's super convenient for exploring on foot or joining tours, and the rooftop terrace provides stunning views of the hot air balloons drifting over the fairy chimneys each morning. The **breakfast** was a highlight every day: a generous continental spread served on the terrace with fresh breads, cheeses, olives, fruits, eggs, and Turkish specialties. It was delicious, plentiful, and the perfect fuel for a day of hiking valleys or balloon watching – all while enjoying those epic panoramic views. Ugur went above and beyond with his hospitality, including safely **keeping our bags** after checkout so we could continue exploring without worry until our evening transfer. He was always available with helpful recommendations, tour bookings at better prices, and even arranged smooth airport shuttles. The rooms were cozy, clean, and authentically stone-built, keeping things cool and comfortable. If you're visiting Cappadocia, Epoch Stone House is a gem – warm, welcoming, and memorable. The host offer us a good price for airport transfer before we came.. and not forgeting the day tour is unfortgettable memories for us. Mr Ugur arranged it so smooth with giving us a good price for it.

We had a great experience living at Epoch Stone House. The location is great. And special shoutout to the owner who really helped out in multiple things such as extending the check out and taking us around in his car. Room is small and there isn't any table or hanging hooks to organize our stuffs. Bed is 2 separate mattresses so it's a bit uncomfortable. Towel is also hard.

The location was perfect and at night it was very quiet. The breakfast was very complete and tasty and the staff was very nice. We knew there was no AC but it would have been great to have one.

This hotel is ideally situated in the heart of the city while still offering a peaceful atmosphere. The room was not only comfortable but also well-maintained. One of the highlights was the terrace, which provided a lovely space to relax, as well as the breakfast, which was quite enjoyable. Additionally, the owner help us find good deals on tours, which was a great advantage. It may need tidying up the space a bit more, but the price for the stay is reasonable.

The best thing about Epoch stone hotel was the nice gesture from Ugur. He was so helpful in planning out tours and everything was onpoint. He made everything possible. Especially the classic car tour with sunrise balloon watching, as it got cancelled for the planned date and for the next day it was full. Even though it got fully booked for the next day, Ugur personally took me and my wife for the Sunrise balloons and he was our photographer for the day. Thank you for giving us a great stay Ugur.

We had an excellent experience at this hotel! The rooms were very clean, and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive to our needs. Breakfast was very tasty —perfect to start the day. The location is central. A big plus was the manager, who was always available and willing to help—he provided detailed information about all the activities in the area and helped us organize our schedule. Highly recommended!
