The location is perfect, the room is a bit old.

I like the location, the facilities and the great service from the hotel. It's near to everything, just cross the street you will get everything. The hotel staff is really helpful, we arrived a bit late but we get a very warm welcome. Needless to say, this place is a great place to stay and very worth the money.

The best thing was the you g man at the desk always nice and happy to help us. The location was good. The you g man taking care of breakfast was also great. A lot of things were broken or not maintained. The hairdryer did not work, the plug in the bathroom lose off the wall, the only little table we had had a broken leg, the screen at the window was ripped, the terrace pots had huge weeds growing in them, the lobby is very dark. We had the misfortune to stay at the same time than very loud and rude people who behaved poorly and woke us up around 5 am every day.

I had the budget room. Nice cave type hotel. Mattress was comfortable. They provided electric kettle and supplies to make tea/coffee. Bathroom was small but clean-ish. Not sure how I got placed in the budget room when I did not request one. The unit did not have an AC unit. There was a small fan that didn’t work. There was a small window. Bathroom was very small. If you’re tall, the budget room is not for you…very small. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Room looked nice at first, but it had some issues with the decorations, and plumbing.

Hotel staff was the best.. the girl in the kitchen bake all the pastries and the guy at the reception is so kind The hotel needs a little maintenance. Not sure if the reason is I went to cappadocia in low season.

Friendly, helpful staff; great breakfast; ability to book tours through them; just steps from anything you need (restaurants, bus station, taxis, ATM machines, activities, etc.); mini-bar in the room with hot-water kettle and instant coffee/tea; rooftop terrace for watching the morning balloons; good shower and hot water (I was there in November); Wifi was fine Since it's in the flat part of Goreme you don't get any sweeping views from up high (but you can walk up easily enough); I got a kind of suite with "garden view" but it was mostly a wall, so I basically had no view, but it was easy to just walk up to the rooftop

Goreme is an amazing place to visit and the Walnut House is in a perfect location. Our favorite part was the staff. They were so friendly and helpful. We loved being greeted by the warm hosts. The breakfast was outstanding and the kitchen staff is so kind. The hotel has a great atmosphere and the view from the patio is lovely! A couple lights and the hairdryer didn’t work in our room and there was a stinky smell in the bathroom periodically.

The property is in a wonderful location, in the middle of the very touristic area of the city. It's organized as an old house, and it's very nice in general. Breakfast staff very polite and helpful. The property is not particularly well kept. • The garden in front and courtyard are not at all well kept, nor cleaned from dust and foliage. • External places are not cleaned regularly • Room cleaning is random There is no safe in the rooms and tvs are placed in strange unpractical locations. Rooms do not have many plugs.

The location of the hotel is fantastic and it has a beautiful terrace where they serve breakfast. In the evenings we would sit and enjoy the view from the terrace.

This little sanctuary was exceptional , very welcoming , very clean , and the best part is how welcoming and helpful the staff is ! The owner is most of the time on the property and will help you get around the city ! But about the property : it’s so well done , it’s authentic , it feels like a mini castle of the previous centuries but with a touch of comfort ! My room looked like a cave without it being a cave ! The breakfast is incredible with a wide variety of options , they will even make you your own personalized omelettes if you want , and if you suggest something , they will make it the next day . The restaurant terrace is perfect to view the hot air Balloons! It’s as shown on their page . The owner even upgraded my room for free, because I reserved the most basic room and he proposed himself to put me in a different room If I wanted to! The location is very strategic , right at the start of the main town of Goreme , walking distance from the bus station , very quiet and beautiful place ! This place has a great energy to it ! You will not be disappointed . I’ve visited a lot of other cave hotels around , and similar rating hotels , and with all honesty , this one felt like the one of my best as far as location , experience , cleanliness, staff professionalism and friendliness, menu variety at breakfast , incredible view to see the hot air balloons ! Overall , I give this place a top star rating for its category ( of course it’s not like the big fancy cave hotels that are overpriced for tourists , and trust me if you want a local hospitality and comfort experience with a touch of authenticity, walnut house is great ) Everything was great for me , even better than what I expected

Everything was amazing at this place , a family owned hotel / HOUSE / mini palace / heart felt sanctuary ! The staff are so nice , welcoming , helpful , smiling always ! The rooms are excellent and clean , the breakfast selection is so wide , you’ll find plenty of options to chose from, even your personal omelettes ! So close to the main center town , at the same time on the edge of all The noise and busy crowd ! This place felt like home for sure ! I highly recommend this place !

Property was continently located with easy access to many food spots. The room was nice, staff was nice. The garden can be more maintained

I have stayed here many times and it is always good! The hotel is set back from the street with a pleasant garden in front. I have stayed in both the front and back buildings; both are nice. The breakfast on the terrace is excellent, and it is easy to find parking on the street by the hotel if there isn't a space out front. Nice people and small, charming hotel.

When I booked the room, I didn't realize it didn't have air conditioning. When I arrived, they upgraded me to a bigger room with air conditioning for free. Staff was very kind. Breakfast was nice with a rooftop view. Location was great, walking distance to everything including the hikes in the area. Nothing

Breakfast was included, the terrace gave great views It was warm in the room, the smell from the drain after using the bathroom- definitely a common problem though
