The quintessential country house hotel Food is excellent TV did not work Should have 2 chairs in the room

The Hartness is beautifully decorated and clearly wants to be a luxury resort, but it lacks the service and attention to detail to match. The “preserve” they advertise is now being developed into homes, which was disappointing. During Clemson concert weekend, the hotel was severely understaffed and unprepared. It’s also not as close to downtown Greenville as advertised. For the price, there are better options elsewhere.

Beautiful, clean property with a lovely staff!

We love this hotel. Some changes have been made that are not great. One there is no food or beverage service at the pool, which was a real disappointment. Also they have stopped complimentary breakfast and there are no ice machines. Besides these things the property is beautiful. The beds are so comfortable. The pool is big and very nice.

Hotel was very pretty, rooms clean and friendly staff. But......For cost to stay you got no perks. No free breakfast, no free coffee bar, nothing included in stay. Everything was additional... Also outdoor area was not cleaned up well. Noticed beer bottles and drink cups left outside from night before. They were not picked up until almost 2 pm next day. I think staying in downtown Greenville would be better choice more entertainment and perks to stay.

We had an excellent experience at Hotel Hartness! This hotel is a hidden gem. We will be returning soon.

All the staff we encountered were so nice and eager to help. The property is beautiful! We really enjoyed sitting in the courtyard and around the fireplace.

The hotel itself was nice and we had a great time. The dinner at the Patterson, however, was not good. The Patterson used to be one of our favorite Greenville restaurants, but it has been poor the last 2 or 3 times we've eaten there. This time, appetizers were good, but the she crab soup was not and the grouper entree was very bad. The fish was bad and the cook was atrocious- overcooked and very dry. The waitress brought a new dish and it was just as bad. We very much wanted it to be fabulous, but, unfortunately, it just wasn't.

Amazing atmosphere for a Father's day weekend

Great place for a weekend getaway, staff very nice food great and the chocolate chip baked cookie is to die for for a nightcap.

There were no rugs on the floor in the room

The staff was exceptional! They all where friendly and very attentive. The spa was great. The setting in and around hotel was fabulous.

No complaints. Exceeded expectations

The hotel is very well kept and a great place to stay for couples to get away and relax.

This was a home large home at one point they added on additional wing. It’s southern country charm boutique hotel in the neighborhood of an up and coming expensive housing development

This is my favorite hotel in the Carolinas!

This was my 2nd time staying at this Hotel and so far my #1 choice. Starting from the location, staff, to the rooms, everything is beautiful. Trails to walk, bonfire beside the pool area, restaurants on site and spa, you can almost find everything for an afternoon, or night enjoyment. I will definitely keep going back.
