Nah. Could be cleaner

The place

It was a pay at the property booking. The property charged my card without my consent and also I paid in cash when I reached the hotel. Its been more than 3 months and I am still fighting about the refund thats around $600. Its been a pain dealing with them and they are not responding. I would be very cautious when booking with them.

A beautiful bargain comparatively speaking to some other luxury options in Guanajuato. The restored building is beautiful. We enjoyed the restaurant, notably, it had some of the better food we had while we were here (off radar), and my niece in law is from here, so that is saying something. Try the French toast for a decadent treat. Fine print, there is no elevator on the property. We had originally booked a standard room, which was on the top floor of what looked to be an addition to property aaaaaall the way in the back corner. This was an absolute deal breaker for us. We upgraded the room to one on the second floor. There was a notable difference in the quality of the rooms. I would suggest paying a little extra money for an upgraded room because I do not recommend the standard room.

Very noisy, hard to sleep

Historic building, well preserved, well kept, in good quiet area, not too far from centre of town. Our room on main floor was tastefully and practically furnished, spacious, very welcoming and pleasant to be in. Nothing comes to my memory.

Exceptionally clean good accommodation. Friendly, helpful staff. A bit of a maze getting to the room.

A 30-minute walk to the center of town.

They can canceled my stay, over booked the night charged me and then couldn’t fulfill my reservation.

The hotel is beautiful, from the minute you walk through the front door to relaxing on the second floor terrace. The rooms are not huge, but just enough room for a week stay. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. We enjoyed a shot of tequila upon checking in - a very welcoming tradition. And lastly, all the staff were friendly and accommodating. There is nothing I could complain about. We enjoyed our stay and feel the value of what we received was excellent.

The building is beautiful. The room was pretty an very confortable. Location was perfect for our purpose, and the staff was very friendly. Perhaps our room was a little dark. It doesn’t have a window.

Hotel is very nice has great architecture and good location. Very close to la presa and across the street from one of the top 30 bars in Mexico. Great hotel overall. Great if you like to walk takes about 30 minutes to walk to the historic center of the city. Room was a bit small but not a huge issue.
