One word: thoughtfulness The property is perfectly located. Literally 10 minutes walk from the Hakodate station. 5 minutes from the fish market. and 10 minutes from the red brick warehouse. All the named convenience stores are 2-3 blocks away. Not to mention several exceptionally delicious seafood restaurants right across the street, a mere 2-3 minute walk. We ended up taking the taxi almost everywhere, but it was all very affordable (~1000 yen) We booked a family room for our family of 4, including a 2-year-old and 6-year-old, and it was awesome. The double full + a 3rd twin in the corner was perfect. The boys absolutely loved the provided toys and a DVD player with Japanese dubbed classic Tom and Jerry. The onsen does get a little busy, but the boys enjoyed the fuller experience more than other establishments we've been. The tasty complimentary fruit or Hokkaido milk popsicles post-onsen was a nice touch. We were able to try out both Japanese-style breakfast and buffet-style breakfast. Both were delicious, although the buffet-style edged out due to the variety and sample of local produce. Not to mention the DIY chirashizushi was quite generous. I feel like the entire experience has been well thought out. From the provided baby shampoo/body wash, to the DVD player, to the popsicle. These are all tiny details, but tiny delights sprinkled throughout our stay. The laundry room is always busy, but that feels fairly standard. I do wish they would take credit card payments in the laundry room, though. Yamato luggage forwarding is present at the coat check, but wish they would take credit card payments.

Exceptional hotel facilities - hotel breakfast was amazing, comfortable + clean facilities, good onsen, helpful staff, and extras like an ice-machine + microwave on our room floor & an art exibition in the hotel. You can get a voucher to use in the restaurant or gift shop if you stay for multiple days and choose for your room not to be cleaned (encouraging environmental practices). Nothing really.

Modern clean hotel conveniently located within walking distance of the station, harbour and principal tourist sites. Comparatively spacious room albeit interestingly designed with a seating area comprising a chair and a stool in front of the headboard of the bed which looked towards the town. Exceptional Japanese breakfast offered of either a beef or fish dish served on the second floor with additional access to a comprehensive buffet. Nothing of note - would have liked to stay longer to have taken advantage of happy hour served on upper floor.

Location Good access to the Hakodate mountain, Hakodate station. Next the Seico mart(Hokkaido original convenience store) Hot spring was awesome ? Breakfast was amazing ? NONE

Not being allowed in the onsen for tattoos made me sad.

Nice room layout with toilet and shower separate. Good ofuro (but a tad too hot). Breakfast buffet had a great sashimi spread with ikura and negitoro. Good location near the center of the historical town. Ofuro was a bit too hot.

Clean and helpful staff. Breakfast arrangement was terrible. The QR code wasn't doing well. At 1st morning, 845am QR code register, saying 20mins waiting time, however 915pm, we still unable get in. And have to divide our group into 2 tables. At 2nd morning, 745am QR code register, saying 45min waiting time, however 9.30am, still asking to wait 20mins more. End up, divide into 2 table.

The hotel was centrally located near the sightseeing areas and only around a 5-7 minute walk from the JR station. There are also convenience stores close by and the city-wide tram is within a 3-5 minute walk from the entrance. The staff was kind enough to upgrade our room for our stay and we were extremely gracious to them! The breakfast buffet is also great, but highly recommend going early (we went around 6:45 AM, and it was packed by 7:30 AM) so you can enjoy the food. N/A

This hotel was amazing for the price, and generally lovely. We had a very comfortable stay, including a lovely onsen on the top floor. Breakfast was exceptionally good, with a huge range to choose from. The location of this hotel is excellent, very close to train station, sightseeing and markets. We found fun places to visit and good food options close by. Everything was fabulous
