Close proximity to train station Your front desk employees need training in customer service. They are curt with guests, not friendly, never smile. In our hotels in Hawaii, there is always at least one employee who can speak Japanese to assist our Japan visitors. Why is that not a courtesy for American visitors to Japan? No English translation! No English speaking workers! Why not?!?!?!

The staff was not friendly not helpful as I felt they should have been Most of them did not make us feel wanted Versus Hotel Keihan Sapporo staff were the exact opposite

Room was comfortable You have a kind of lounge space you can use at the 1st floor with beverages. Depending on what you would like to do, location cannot be the best (30 to 40min walk from the cable station)
-
Location closed to Tram line and morning market. Room is clean as Japanese standard that I am very happy. Free soft drink - self service and some snack provided is good after a long day walk. No
-
Location. Sports facilities on 2nd floor. Bathroom was a little “old”. No foreign channels, YouTube, etc on TV.
-
Very good location, easy accessible to public transport and places of interest. The hotel lounge is excellent and with assortment of complimentary drinks is most comforting especially after a day long outing.
-
The rooms were abit dated and dark but it is still comfortable. This is my second time staying here. I love this place as it is convenient, near the morning market, convenience stores and train/tram stations.
-
Close to the station and the morning market, with a convenience store nearby. Although the building is old and the room is small, it was perfectly clean. The lobby has plenty of seating where the guests can enjoy free coffee and tea. My room was facing the street and it was a bit noisy during the day, but it was quiet at night.
-
Rooms were too hot and could not adjust the temperature other than opening the window.
-
No complaints!

Breakfast was excellent. The best during my 3 weeks stay in Japan. The mattress was a little soft.

The staff is super polite, check in is easy and they offer to keep luggage if you arrive early. The location is super convenient as it’s walking close (I really mean a very short walk) to the Hakodate station. The room is a bit small for two and if you are noise sensitive you may not like the sound of trams going by. I was not affected and still had good sleep but the noise from other room is a bit annoying

The reception staff were very friendly, and the lobby offers free coffee and tea 24/7 with plenty of seating, which was a nice perk. Hotel options at this price point are limited, and the location is where this hotel really shines. For a short stay, it gets the job done. The rooms and facilities are very old and feel a bit janky. During winter, you can’t adjust the room temperature to make it cooler (no AC), so I had to open the window to lower the temperature.

The hotel is near JR Hakodate Station, making it especially convenient in snowy weather. A bus stop is located in front of the hotel entrance area. None

Good location, few minutes walking from the train station, city tram, morning market, those famous old warehouses, restaurants... We stayed in early November, the hotel didn't have air conditioning turned on. The previous guests opened the windows, I assumed, and the floor area near window got rained on. The room smelt musty and the floor was damp. The hotel switched us to another room which offered a better view from the windows.

Proximity to train station and easy access to streetcar, the lobby lounge area, sports plaza (dated but fun for an evening), staff were friendly, breakfast was good. Bathroom was very dated and small, pillows were uncomfortable, bed was small for two people.

The lobby and staff were nice
