Spacious rooms. Rooms look like they’ve not been updated since the 80s. Cleanliness was OK and staff helpfulness for 50/50 at best.

The hotel was super comfortable and accommodating, they give you traditional robes to wear to the Onsen and even to the buffet. The buffet for breakfast and dinner was AMAZING, great variety and taste, which is great since we almost never made it to restaurant reservations so we preferred having dinner at the hotel. The view from the room breathtaking. The Japanese staff was super helpful with sending our luggage to the other hotel. Even one of the staff spoke Spanish, she was super nice. We truly appreciated the hospitality from most of the team during our stay. There was one interaction on the evening of Feb 12th with a male staff member regarding dinner scheduling that felt somewhat harassing. We had called to reserve dinner, were told to go downstairs to pick up the ticket, there were 2 males in reception, one of them we think Japanese and he handled everything perfectly. We went to the souvenir shop in the hotel and were chased by the other male person, we think his name was Ramesh and he asked us about paying the dinner and just weird questions in front of other guests when we had already spoke to the other staff member. When we asked him what the problem was and if we had to pay right and then, he left us alone. While we understand this may have been well-intentioned, it did affect our comfort level. We share this only to provide balanced feedback, as otherwise the service was very good.

The public spaces where well designed and seemed recently redone. Very impressive lobby and dinning area. Breakfast was really good. Great location if you are driving. Our room and hallway leading to it smelled of smoke and were a bit dated. The onsen was nice but the dressing could stand an update. The massage chair was not in great shape.
-
Facilities were outdated, dirty, and smelled old and musty in the rooms. There were balls of hair along the hallways and the buildings were clearly in need of updates. This was below my expectation for the price.
-
Rooms are little bit outdated and need renovation
-
The hotel had 2 wings, and we were in need of a bit of a refurbished. You can see the years of use in the bedroom.
-
the spread of breakfast is good. can be better if have better coffee the onsen Too strict with check out time.
-
Closed to public transport to move around. Also some Restaurants nearby and supermarkets Maybe the price for dinner buffet to expensive and no other choice
-
Staff was available at anytime time It was a little far from metro station
-
We only went to dinner, because we checked out the same day we arrived. Dinner did not have western choices, which usually we don't mind, but there was no gluten free options at all. The smell of the room.
-
The staff is very helpful and friendly, the onsite onsen is very good The hotel seems to be dated to the 80s and it would be nice if the room where a bit updated. However the rooms are very comfortable and spacious
-
It’s not close to amenities/view of things. You will need to travel an hour just to go to downtown.
-
The matts to sleep on the floor…four beds in room would be much nicer.
-
The onsen was pretty nice. Rest apart just an average resort. Location was not very close by from different attractions. The bath tub was clogged. Clearly not worth the exorbitant price.
-
The room was a decent size for Japan. Beds were ok, not the best but not the worst. The buffet dinner was a good selection. The onsen was Devine. A choice of 6 different thermal springs for females & temperature wasn't too hot. The buffet breakfast was limited for western taste buds, but good if you like a variety of Japanese food.
-
The lobby was very well maintained, staff was helpful and the location is amazing. We wanted something a bit far away from the crowds and this resort delivered. Plus the onsen is the obvious draw! It's very old and musty. This was the only hotel in our Japan trip which didn't feel clean. The window screens in my room were torn, the verandah was very old and unclean. The elevators had a musty smell
-
the room was spacy, the onsen was nice, but not all of us could use it because of tattoos when checking in I asked for an invoice, and was told that I will receive it when checking out. in the check out they said that I paid through booking and booking should provide me with the invoice although it clearly written on the site that the hotel should provide the invoice. when arriving we got a very bad smelling room, that was replaced on our request

Location, direct bus to all stations and Togendai, Family Mart close by Yukatas provided and encouraged to use in the hotel Staff was helpful and polite Some meals in the restaurant were really good like the fried mackerel and the tiramisu; Laundry facilities worked great The room was spacious and I loved the separate entry way to drop off your stuff. The kids packs left everyday were a nice touch, even if they contained the same thing (slippers and bath sponges). Couldn't try the onsen due to tattoos but it is obviously a highlight of the place and a nice activity to do everyday in the hotel. During our 4-night stay, restaurant served the exact same choices of breakfast and dinner every day. When you filter out the stuff that you don't like or that are bad, you end up eating the same thing over and over. So would not recommend for more than 2-3 nights. The room could do with some updating, the balconies were rusting away.

Buffet and onsen and our room were excellent.
