Very calm and peaceful, and clean as well. Too far from the main stations.
-
Nice and clean Staff could not speak English. Complained that air conditioning was not working properly with front desk staff but was ignored and never addressed by the hotel.
-
Onsen They charge per person to the room whereas normal rooms fits 2 persons
-
The Onsen was wonderful, having lounge clothes was a bonus, the staff and service was impeccable. Tatami rooms were beautiful, comfortable rooms

I have problems eating raw seafood, but when I informed the staff ahead of time they were happy to accommodate me. Beyond that, the meals were exceptional, the baths were lovely, and many complementary amenities were provided - even ones I didn't expect, like free ice pops after the bath. As with many other ryokans, this hotel was not the best for solo travelers. Most ryokans prefer to accomodate at least two people, and their rooms are designed with that in mind. As such, a single traveler usually has to pay the price for two people - if they can book a room at all. I came to this hotel because the price for one person wasn't THAT bad, but I still think I'd have gotten a much better deal (and a room with a better view) if I was able to bring someone else with me.

Wonderful place. Wonderful meals. Onsen great. Staff very professional. No complaints.

Beautiful Resort. Staff was very helpful and a few staff members were able to speak English which is a plus. I was offered a welcome drink when arriving for check-in and everything was handled for me. I was given a tour of different parts of the resort while being escorted to my room which I appreciated. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable and there were many extras offered in the room like coffee, tea, and treats from the hotel gift shop. The onsens in the hotel were the main attraction, offering an indoor hot bath, as well as multiple open air baths. A cold bath and sauna were also available for use as well. The relaxation room included free ice cream which was a nice bonus. Course meals were given during breakfast and dinner. Everything was delicious. There was a new dish to try for every meal. The staff did an excellent job of explaining what was being served to me. Compliments to the chef as well. Great location if you’re traveling by bus or car. And there’s a konbini located across the street if you’re looking for a late night snack. Would love to stay again. N/A

Wonderful stay at Morinokaze Hakone. The ryokan room was peaceful and beautifully designed, and the staff were extremely kind. The kaiseki meals were excellent, and the onsen — especially the outdoor bath — was incredibly relaxing. A perfect mix of comfort, nature, and authentic Japanese tradition. Highly recommended. Book transport in advance

everything from the minute we got to the property to checking out was easy and relaxing, just as a vacation should be. wonderfully kind and helpful staff, amazing amenities and comfortable room. right off the hakone bus line. delicious meals and were able to adjust for my gluten allergy. nothing negative
-
Beautiful, relaxing ryokan on the lovely Sengokuhara plain. Excellent meals, welcoming staff, lovely bathing facilities. This is not the problem of the ryokan, but the bus journey there from Odawara (with even small suitcases) was quite a challenge. It took an hour on winding mountain roads and several of our group had to stand the whole way.

Gorgeous property, and the staff were all exceptionally kind! They went above and beyond to accommodate vegetarian meals, which I appreciated so much.
-
Very clean, nice, quiet facility. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the stay very much. I will definitely recommend this facility to my friends and family. The cold water pressure was low at night in my room.

The hotel is beautiful and is in a good place. The traditional Japanese dinner served was just amazing. Many courses, all delicious. They catered extremely well for my need for gluten free. They had the same at breakfast. The Onsen was also a wonderful facility. Japanese robes and pajamas to use round the hotel and at dinner were great for getting into the real Japanese feel and experience The wonderful traditional dinner and breakfast were both set meals. Fabulous but no alternatives and the breakfast did not fit with my western stomach where fish and veg are not the starters for the day. The staff had very little English but all had translator apps to get round that. The location of the hotel leaves you reliant on them for all needs (there was a supermarket over the road). They did have a bar but it did not open until 9:00 pm. Drinks were available with dinner. We wanted a taxi to the station but the person behind reception rang someone and told me all the taxis for the next day were unavailable.
-
Very well maintained Staff were very friendly and courteous A bit too far from the main attractions, but it doesn't matter if one only wants to enjoy onsen.
-
It was so beautiful, we loved our private bath and the public ones as well. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. It was quiet and peaceful.
-
The excellent services since the moment I arrived the hotel until I checked out! This is truly amazing and made our Ryogan experience worth memorable! Everything was great. However, if you have ‘English’ language sign sticked near electronic devices such as the air conditioning / heater would be great. Because we need to use google translate how to adjust the room temperature and confused the heater mode / air conditioning mode.

Our room got noise from upstairs and that was disturbing of my peace and sleep at night. People walking and closing and opening the doors made impact noise that was disruptive.
-
Very good Room no view

This was our first stop to see relatives. The dinner and breakfast was fantastic, and excellent in taste and presentation. I am Japanese decent and it is exactly my memory growing up. The Onsen in the outdoor was relaxing and wonderful. The front desk was very kind and thoughtful. I highly recommend this hotel.
