Loved the location being near the mountains and close to bus stops and other destinations. The futon was a bit thin but that is what we expected anyway!

Staff was very helpful, nice place and clean

The futon cushion on hardwood floor was a bit too firm for me. In the rooms with tatami mat floors I think I'm okay on a futon. But the individual bunk rooms have a solid floor. As well the wall partitions don't quite go to the ceiling so light from the hallway and neighbor rooms kept me up a little bit. But excellent value and good location.

Located just beside the Kintoki-Tozanguchi bus stop and right before the Mt Kintoki trail head. Host was super friendly and a cool bartender too. Shared bathroom and shower room but it were always clean when I used them. You will be sleeping on tatami and futon for this Japan experience !

Convenient Already Expensive and you need to pay extra for towels, parking..

The atmosphere and company were exceptional. Really have to give it to the host as he was very accommodating of us!

Clean and quiet guesthouse. They also had a nice bar. Staff was very helpful too.

Location was great, especially if you like hiking The owner was amazing. Very friendly, very helpful. The dormitories have separations and can be locked, so you can leave your stuff all day without worrying. Nothing, really

The owner is extremely helpful and nice, always at the bar and ready to answer any question you may have. There is a bus stop, and a great ramen place right down the road and a seven eleven 2 minutes away by foot. The cabins have a lot of privacy, and the futons are pretty comfortable. Great value for the money.

This was one of the best overnight experiences I've ever had out of my history of travelling! From check-in to check out the staff was so friendly and helpful. The rooms were super clean, comfy and stunning! Very convenient spot to stay in the area - super close to bus stops, surrounding restaurants, convenience stores and more! Also, the attached bar was super great to! The main man running the ryokan also was our mixologist for the evening and he made amazing and affordable drinks along with some of the best french fries I've ever had in my life!! Overall great stay, I would come back to Hakone just to specifically stay here again! Would highly recommend!!! There was nothing I did not like! It was a great stay!

It is not as clean as it should, the main problem was that from day one there was dust on the floor (where you are sleeping) and hairs on the duvet

No breakfast but that was OK. Location was nice and quiet and offered us a chance to relax after bouncing around Japan for a few days

It is like a hidden gem in the middle of the busy streets of Hakone and Gotemba!

It wasn't immidietely clear when booking that it was a shared toilet.

The staff was accommodating and friendly, this place is highly recommended. The microwave use to be outside.

The host went above and beyond to ensure a great stay in hakone and was very knowledgeable about the area. I would highly recommend this place to stay if you are visiting the area.

The owner checked me in, he was really friendly and gave me information about the spots to check out around the area. I really appreciated his greeting and it made me feel very welcome. The room itself was spacious and warm. I was able to open the window and had a great view outside.

I liked how clean the building was and the amenities were great such as the showers, slippers, and laundry. My futon was a bit uncomfortable to sleep in. Also the walls are thin and I had some noisy neighbors and could hear them pretty clearly.
