Location was excellent, staff very attentive, hotel was spotless. Onsen was relaxing after a day on the slopes. Happy hour 4-6 was great I will be back again. The pillows were too soft. Otherwise perfect

The location was very good. It is close to Happo Village and also close to Echoland. This means you can easily walk to both for evening meals etc. The ski shuttle bus for 47 starts its journey outside the hotel which is very convenient as the best snow was at that resort during our stay. Advice on where to rent equipment could have been better. The hotel does have its own equipment and we were advised to go elsewhere. I am actually not sure why this was. Unfortunately the service at the place we were recommended was poor and the equipment fitting was defective. We were also led to believe the hotel provided evening meals but this turned out not to be the case.

Location is good Honestly I would not consider it a 3 star hotel. SUPER expensive for what it is.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Some staff were English speaking. Overall no problems with communicating. Location is close to everything you need. They have a restaurant on site as well. You can also rent all ski/snowboard gear and get lift tickets. All at a discounted price. Super convenient. Room was exactly as pictured. Simple. Comfy, clean. Location was bout 10-15 min walk to Happo-one gondola. Perfect Nothing. Everything was great

The proximity to the shuttle, shops and mountain. Even though the hotel was older the rooms were very comfortable and the beds were comfortable. We should have brought our own slides/slippers for the hotel. The ones provided didn’t fit our big feet.

Very neat and clean and in a great location with easy walking access to the Happo One chairlift and village.

    Had great location.

Location to Happo One, proximity to the Hakuba Valley ski bus, onsite onsen, onsite ski rental, hotel pick up/ drop off from the bus station.. Hakuba 47 bus picks ups at the hotell / Hakuba Valley ski bus is a 5-minute walk, but early on the route, so good chance for getting a seat. Staff is AMAZING! Hotel is reasonably priced. Guests are friendly and lots are returning families with kids of all ages. We got to know many, which is good bc they taught us how to navigate the buses and food scene. Breakfast starts at 7:30, which is too late for SKIERS wanting to catch one of the two earlier multi-resort ski bus pick ups to the northern resorts for lift opening, e.g. bus takes almost an hour to reach Norikura and Cortina. Breakfast is solid, but there is a rush at 7:30, and we noticesd some items are not replaced. Dinner menu and seating is limited; other dining options, including food trucks, require a walk.

The accommodation was not heated well nor was the boot room which is critical when. Trying to dry snow equipment.

  • Engine customer Oct 2025

The rooms are quite big compared to other Japanese hotels. We received a discounted ticket to Otari Shizen Koen from the reception. There is a very nice outdoor bath, which was a big surprise. The breakfast felt rushed. They start at 0730 and end at 0830 sharp. It felt like a military drill, with the waiters asking us to grab as much as we could before 0830. The staff closed everything at 0830 sharp. Cold or lukewarm water in most of the men's onsen taps.

The building is made of wood so when people are walking on the hallway it was echoing in the room which made it difficult to sleep

  • Engine customer Apr 2025

Cosy, friendly staff and nice atmosphere Felt a bit dated in terms of decor. Long walk to the gondola and they closed the ski gear rental in late April
