Excellent location, breakfast and the warm welcoming atmosphere of the hosts!

The staff were lovely;the location made everything easy; the Japanese breakfast delicious; and an ofuro after skiing was perfect.

Everything about this property is wonderful. Amazing location, facilities, and staff. The breakfast, though expensive, is worth the price for the quantity and quality of food. The public bath is small and lacks ambience, but is very functional.

Great location close to the main gondola lift and the bus terminal. Both walkable. Lots of restaurants close by. The only one thing I would have valued if they can accommodate would have been changing rooms allowing to max the first day since check in only opens at 3 PM. The main gondola has lockers so you can use that instead if you’re arriving really early.

The owner was so nice and helpful! Wonderful location to the Happo one resort (walking distance) and across the street from the bus stop that takes you to other resorts like Hakuba 47!

I stayed for three nights. Not good but wonderful breakfast with mother taste and full hospitality! Nothing

The rooms were large, spacious, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The onsens were nice and relaxing, and with the accompanying dry rooms were perfect after a day of skiing. The breakfast was also hearty

Family owned and the staff prepared nice breakfast. Staff very friendly and pay attention to keep everything clean. Price value very good. It’s just place to sleep after a long day skying.

Yuuko san the host was very hospitable and understanding. I felt welcome at all times during my stay. She even helped to shift our rental car away from potentially falling snow packs when we were out on the slopes. Her Ryokan rooms were really big and there was loads of space to unpack luggage. Housekeeping is done daily, we always have freshly made futons once we are back from the slopes. Shared bath in the basement is really big. The dry room and snowboard room storage in the basement is really big too. No fear of no storage space. In fact the size of this Ryokan facilities is bigger than most at the value it's being offered at. The location is conveniently located in between Happo one and the bus terminal. Within 10 min walk of a Lawson. This season they even had a food truck park just round the corner, loads of food options. Out front is able to fit 3 cars at the most. Do reserve a spot.

I really like the breakfast. There are both Japanese and Western options. The twin room is very spacious. You can open 2 suitcases and have plenty of space. The ski storage is large and separate from the shoe storage. The hotel may look old but it is clean. There is free filtered water and a free washing machine. I really like it. I would like it if on check-out day you can leave your luggage until the evening. That would be great.

The owner was so kind and helped us make dinner reservations and showed us where to go! The walk to the closest ski area was super short and the walk to the bus stop for the other ski hills was even quicker! This is the best location. We booked in the restaurant for breakfast every day and it was tasty, filling and different every day!

Located diagonally opposite the up-market The Happo hotel, Ryokan Oomukou offers a perfect option for those looking for something a little more traditional, homely and budget-friendly. It's location in the center of town makes it hugely convenient whatever your plans, in easy walking distance of both the bus terminal and Nakayama slopes, and with Evergreen ski school pickup and the Goryu/Iimori bus stopping just opposite. The owner and staff at Ryokan Oomukou are extremely welcoming and friendly. The Japanese-style room I stayed in was simple but very comfortable. The shared bathroom and toilet facilities were always clean and tidy. The basement dry room was spacious and well-heated. The communal area was equipped with a shared fridge and microwave. The option of a western or Japanese-style breakfast is provided and this was always delicious. Nothing
