The 3pm check-in was difficult when you arrive from the US at 10am extremely tired.

Friendly, attentive employees. No A/C. As a American from Florida, A/C is essential. I understand central air conditioning is not possible but in my opinion a cheaper alternative would to provide a small electric fan in the room, something even small enough on a desk. Or have them if requested. (6/27/26) other than that, no complaints.

Central location, friendly staff, comfortable room. During the recent heat wave I missed AC… But we fo there regularly and never missed it before.

Excellent location, excellent breakfast, very friendly staff

Traditional European hotel. Comfortable, well appointed room and an excellent lobby and lounge. Friendly staff. A little pricey.

Great location / profession and friendly staffs / neat and clean Bit overpriced

The room was quiet and it was cozy. The bed and sofa bed were extremely comfortable. And the location is so close to the main station and the botanical gardens. PLUS they gave us free transportation passes!

The hotel is characterful and the location good, close enough to train station, very close to the Alster Lakes and just a short walk to the town centre. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The bar is cosy, confortable and with some atmosphere - not overcrowded but people enjoying a drink and chat. The Mexican barman treated guests to an operatic excerpt every now and again, which was great fun and he could sing too. There was work going on outside - we were informed after booking, but it didn’t really affect our stay at the hotel. The room was small, but facilities adequate.

Close to U-bahn Beds were uncomfortable- very firm and bedding had stains. Towels very thin and rough. Did not meet expectations for a 4 star hotel.

Very good restaurant, great location, good spa, and made new years very special for all guests going way above and beyond Rooms are a little dated
-
There was no single use slippers in the room.

Location is great, only 10-15 minutes walking to Rathaus. Breakfast is amazing, 4-5 different cheese, sausage, eggs, pancakes, good coffee. Hotel has also provided free tickets for public transport for full stay. Rooms are small but we knew it during reservation, it's ok for 2 people. Only comment is on beds, beds are very soft to my taste, and they were bent toward the middle. But still had good sleep.

It’s well located and charming. The rooms are standard for European travel and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly which isn’t always the case when you don’t speak the country’s language. I would absolutely stay here again. The showers are the strangest shape but I wouldn’t say we didn’t like it. We used to live in Germany and it’s somewhat common to have them oddly shaped.

Room was perfect for me and my needs.

Location was really nice being close to the train station (direct access to S-Bahn and ICE trains) and Rathaus. The staffs were also really friendly and they give you transportation card! It’s right next to a popular bar so lots of people smoking outside if you’re sensitive.
