Very good location in historic building. Good breakfast. The staff were very helpful from the cocktail waiter with spontaneous bursts of Nessun Dorma and at reception where I was assisted to buy a ticket to Lion King. This doesn't only apply to this hotel, but the room lacked air-conditioning when at times the daytime temperature was 35 degrees. People were calling it a heat wave but it persisted for 3 weeks I was in Germany. It's less of a heat wave but the new post climate change normal. At Palaise Esplanade my room had a pedestal fan which I placed in front of an opened window to direct air in.

The location, the class and size of the room and how inconspicuous the facility is. Real boutique feeling. Also notable how clean the room was. The entrance to the Kleinhuis doesn’t close very well, so one needs to be mindful when entering/leaving the building. Also that the room was not really well naturally lit as it was located in the inner side of the building.

Bed was ok Didnt like it to be that room was in another building where also offices of certain kind where Price versus this was overratedly expensive

The breakfast was good. The selection of food and the service was amazing. I did think it was a little expensive for a hotel buffet however. Expensive, and not included in the price of the room, even though the rooms were €500+ for two nights.
