Garner Hotel Hamburg Graf Moltke by IHG

Room was small, but ok. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to the train station and everything necessary around in walking distance. Check the surrounding area before booking. Felt not unsafe there but keep in mind that it is Hamburg Südbahnhof :)

Beautiful interiors in the room and dining room. My boys loved having a room with a balcony. It was very close to several restaurants that serve döner, exactly what we were looking for! Breakfast was delicious. The location is and isn’t ideal. We came by train and didn’t want to go far from the train station, and had to walk past numerous loitering individuals on the way. It was initially very hot and took a bit to get airflow going.

The location is very seedy. There were people loitering on the front stairs when we returned late at night. The door to the street was not locked and the staff member was in a back room when we arrived, so it didn’t feel secure. The room was smaller than I expected and there was no bathtub in our room.

Very clean room. Not a very nice neighborhood but as promised, very close to the train station. Not a nice location but very near to train station.

The room has big up space so feeling like live in a huge room although the actual footage is normal. The hotel is 300m from central station and 1.5mil from city hall, making it very convenient. Good location and clean roomy guest room.

GREAT LOCATION BATHROOMS BSINS AND SHOWER VERY SMALL BRAKFAST STAFF NOT HELPFULL OUTSIDE CROWD IS A BIT WORRYING

We found this problem in a number of hotels so I am not singling out Hotel Graf Moltke but there were steps at the entrance with no alternative entry that I could see. Heavy cases and old age and steps do not go well together.

Very clean room, comfortable bed. The area - to be expected next to the main train station, but just too many people around the hotel entrance that clearly were not guests of the hotel.

Quiet room, though lots of nose on the street. Clean. Mattress was good. Bad neighborhood, really bad. No bath, while saying there is. Cramped room, had to shuffle by the bed. Two towels for two persons. Very small shower, though decent. Too expensive given what you get.

I chose the Graf Moltke due to is proximity to the main station and it was indeed very close - you could see it when you step out of station. The bed was huge and the room was very quiet. The breakfast was a nice German buffet. The layout of the room was a bit awkward because a (nice) bathroom and the huge bed had been added to what was already a small room. There was no light next to the bed.

location close to the Hauptbanhof is excellent ( both for convenient travel and plenty of restaurants ) , inside the hotel it's very quiet although located in a central area , very nice breakfast , staff is friendly and helpful , the room was clean and comfortable

Good location, good value for the price. A bit of a rough neighborhood, but the hotel felt safe.

Nothing Room too small and not functional furniture

No A/C, no ventilation at all, leading us to open the window to a world of all kinds noise, people screaming and yelling at all hours of the night along with typical ambulances and people honking their horns. Lots of what appears to be drug addicts. A simple fan would have been nice.

The location was good because there was a lot of food places close by and the train station was close by. They also had a great breakfast. The location was not good because of the drug deals and the homeless on the streets all night we didn’t feel safe going out after dark. I had 24 people in my group and the staff was very confused in getting assault checked in.

There were many food options around the area with a group of 24. It really helped having options. Would’ve liked more pastries, but it was OK. The train station is a one minute walk away and taxis are easy to come by. We took the hop on hop off, which is just around the corner as well. So there was a lot of things within a short period of walking. The location was great for food and transportation, but it was very loud most of the night and a lot of drug deals and we didn’t feel safe going out at night. There was no AC so the room was stuffy and we wanted the window windows open but because we were in the front of the hotel, it was very loud all night with windows open.
