Lovely hotel right near the canal area in a perfect location. We could walk to almost everywhere. Just a wee bit tricky dragging bags up the first flight of stairs at the entrance, but after that it was all "plain sailing". So many cafes right outside the door and a fan in the room made it even more comfortable. We had the Captains (mid level) room

Location in the portugese quarter is perfect just next to the most amazing fish and meat restaurants in the city.. the hotel has the flair of seafarer's accomodation. Very clean. Huge terasse and garden.

location is perfect for a visit of Hamburg, the Elbphilharmonie, train and airport connections. The staff is EXTREMELY nice and friendly and helpful. All of them. Amazing, they make you feel at home. Breakfast is wonderful and nicely presented, a pleasure to stay there. It is located in the middle of the city, but amazingly quiet. The garden is a little paradise. We will be back for sure.

Great to be in the Portuguese side of town. Nice restaurants and cafes out the door. Close to train and subway. Walking distance to many places of interest. Older style small hotel with nice big bathroom.
