Great semi - self contained accomodation in garden setting. Close to parent resort where reception and assistance is. Well fitted out and very functional for short term stays. Issue with key access which took over 24 hours to be sorted (and 3 separate enquiries) and wasted time we could have been doing other things. Unable to lock room from outside until resolved. Pricing was over stated in my opinion and at very top end for simple 2 night stay.

Private but convenient to all restaurants, pools etc

Great location and very central to everything. Facilities were great. Bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable and cleaning wasn’t amazing. We found dirty underwear from last guest under the bed. Tv didn’t work.

Good location. Comfortable bed. Nice staff.

Nothing The description said refurbished rooms, which is why we chose over other places. There were several large stains on the sofa. The bed mattress and pillows were very uncomfortable. There was no guest transport (other than luggage) between The Reef (where check in/out, airport transport, and breakfast happens) and the Bungalows. We were very disappointed. A waste of our money.

The island is absolutely gorgeous! I dare say you can’t find a more esthetic place in Australia. The entire island is apparently owned by one company. Service on the island is poor. However, the worst part is the food. We tried at least five different locations and everyone of the places was simply “adequate”. As the kids would say “MEH”. Service while at the restaurants was acceptable not exceptional. I have no problem paying for a five star experience. I have a problem paying for a five star and getting a three star. The company needs to seek out leadership from Ritz or Four seasons and this place could become THE PLACE. Examples: No waiters at the pool side, limited seating at pool with coverage, no pads on loungers making it uncomfortable to sit on. Long waits at the bar for okay at best 25 dollar pina colada. It should be built into your stay that everyone gets a cart hire. We got there and they were sold out everyday. The meals at all the restaurants were hot but I hate to say it not tasty, they were simply adequate. If i was to tell someone how to enjoy this location. Stay one night only! Go hike to passage peak. Go have a cocktail at one tree for sunset. Explore the marina and then head out. Do your GBR tour from somewhere else.

Position was great and loved the heated pool at the hotel. People were friendly walking past when you were sitting on the balcony. And the wallabies were gorgeous. Nothing, very happy

The room felt both private, yet part of the street community (Bungalow 13) Really thought it was good

  • Engine customer Sep 2025

The bungalows are part of a large hotel complex however they are set a short distance away. Very safe and very clean. We loved it. The hotel took care of your luggage from the airport for free.

  • Engine customer Apr 2025

Location to everything. Need to replace the pillows. They were very flat. Also, for the cost of room I would have thought breakfast would be included.
