The staff here really go above and beyond to welcome you and try to meet all your expectations. We liked the connecting rooms for our family, which was a great find in the city. We also really liked the central location. Before our evening flight out, they offered to let us use the shower and gave us some water bottles to take with us. These were very thoughtful and helpful gestures! We especially enjoyed the breakfast on the top floor--there is a small buffet and an a la carte menu that you can select from. We enjoyed trying the various options there.

The staff at reception truly went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We got a room upgrade, lemonade and fruit upon check in, they held our bags while we did an overnight excursion, and even let us use the shower facilities before our flight out. Breakfast was also great! Great location for exploring old quarter. Nothing.

The check in process was a bit rough. We told staff over whatsapp that we would be arriving around 2am as that is when our sleeper bus would drop us off in hanoi. When we arrived, the lobby was locked and it was dark inside. We tried to call the staff on whatsapp but noone picked up. We were locked outside for 20 minutes before we knocked and it turned out there was staff asleep on the couch but we couldn't see them. I wish we were told ahead of time that the staff would be there and to knock.

Super friendly and helpful staff with genuine smiles. From the first greeting with cool lemonade to a farewell assistance with the luggage and a snack for the airport, they made us feel special. We also got treated to a complimentary massage session. The room was quiet and nice, the bed was comfortable, everything was clean. We were concerned about the lack of windows when booking but wanted to stay on the budget, it ended up being a positive feature because there was absolutely no noise. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic. Great location for everything that we wanted to see in Hanoi. The shower head was a little too low, so my 6’2 husband had to bow down a bit to use it but that’s often a problem when traveling in Asia ?

Easy access to restaurants, the lake, massages, and other amenities. The place was outdated and had poor-quality furniture. The design was not very well thought out, and it felt a bit haphazardly designed. For instance, there was a closed off section of the bathroom that was unfinished, and some of the furniture, like the sofa, wasn’t very well cleaned. It seemed like they were trying, but they didn’t use high-quality materials, which made me feel uncomfortable. Also, it wasn’t their fault, but the air in Hanoi is very polluted which made it difficult for me to enjoy the outdoor balcony terrace. My mom managed to sit outside for over an hour, which was quite useful.

We had a wonderful stay here for our honeymoon. Enjoying a few days here on either side of our halong bay cruise. They went above and beyond making it a wonderful experience from the honeymoon decorations in our room to even connect us with an authorised visa agent when we needed our visas expedited (new year public holidays caused delays for us). The rooms were beautiful and we loved happy hour drinks watching the sunset on their sky bar. They greeted us by name when we came back from our cruise and felt like staying with good friends more than a guest at a hotel.

The location is great. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants, cafes, and many sites within walking distance. But it's not right in the center of the action (Beer Street, etc.), which we appreciated because it wasn't too loud at night. The staff was warm and welcoming. It is an older building, but you can tell they work hard to keep it maintained and clean. Our room was spacious, with high ceilings. There is not a nice view of anything other than the buildings next to it, but that's to be expected if you want to stay in the city. We didn't get to experience the rooftop bar since it was closed for Tet, but it looked nice. Overall, we had a good experience there and would recommend it. If you are getting the room with the jacuzzi, just know that it is a tiled tub and not really designed for comfortable seating. We didn't bother having the staff come fill it since it wouldn't have been comfortable and the view isn't worth the time outside on the deck. Maybe in the summer when it's hot, it would be nice to have as a cold plunge pool.

What truly made the experience special was the exceptional warmth and hospitality of the staff. Welcomed with genuine smiles and thoughtful care which made us feel right at home. Their attention to detail was impressive, every request was handled promptly and professionally, and they consistently went the extra mile to ensure comfort. The team’s polite, attentive, and hospitable nature reflects true Vietnamese hospitality at its finest. I highly recommend Minerva Hotel to anyone visiting Hanoi and looking for a stay that feels both comfortable and sincerely welcoming.

Beautiful property, beautiful room, great location, excellent staff! It was pricey for Hanoi but for a splurge it was worth it!

eir way to make us feel special, well pampered, and relaxed to make our time in Hanoi memorable. We used them for many services from the fast track going through the immigration upon arrival, an all day tour to Ninh Binh, spa treatments, to contacting restaurants for our dietary restrictions etc. We couldn't be more pleased with their responsiveness and follow through. The breakfast varieties are abundant, furthermore they offer a la carte selections. I had the best pho here , that is delivered daily fresh, the texture is tender, thin and light. They also accommodated our dietary restrictions. None
