Convenient

The people at reception (Max, Leotus, and Frodo—I hope I got those names right)—very helpful, friendly, really exceptional. Leotus even re-sewed some buttons that had fallen off my shirt. They helped with directions, places to visit, and were just really nice to chat with. Breakfast was good, rooms were clean and up to date. The balcony was nice. The spa downstairs was also quite handy and reliable—prices, quality, etc. Also, tons of good restaurants and shops nearby. This is my second time staying in Old Town. Not sure if I would do it again. It’s obviously a personal preference—if you like the party atmosphere, definitely camp in the Old Town. It is alive until 5:00. Luckily this hotel is quite sound proof so the ssssump ssssump ssssump sounds of the clubs were only faintly heard through the windows, but it would be nice to leave your hotel doors and not walk immediately into hoards of people, scooters, cars, etc. That being said, if you’re going to stay in Old Town, this is a good stay.

Staff were very helpful, friendly and approachable. Room was beautifully decorated and furniture was in good condition. Location was perfect, as it is in the heart of the old quarter. There was so much to see and experience in a short walk from the hotel. The drain in the shower drained slowly and so a puddle would form on the floor of the shower.

My family and I loved the location! It’s within the Old Quarter, but the environment is less crowded and noisy. Also the coffee shops, restaurants, souvenir shops, food stalls, convenience stores, ATMs, and markets are within walking distance. The room was spacious, clean (no insects!), and comfortable. The AC was working efficiently. A must for me who’s always feeling hot. Breakfast was very good-a mix of carbo, vegetables, cereals, fruits, and meat (bacon and sausage). All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Frodo, Max, and Leotus. Their service were excellent! There’s even a spa within the hotel. The masseuses were excellent! If you’re smokers like me and my husband, get the room with a balcony bec you can use it as a smoking area. Although, there’s an ashtray outside the hotel where smoking is allowed. There should be a full-length mirror in the room, so guests could check themselves before going out. The bed linen should be changed more often during the guests’ stay.

The staff was very nice. Excellent breakfast. The bathroom had mold in it. The electrical outlets sparked several times. The fire alarm went off several times false alarm in the middle of the night. We were not told it was a false alarm.

Some areas could use a little extra attention. I noticed the towels weren’t refreshed sometimes.

The only things to note are 1) the property can use some touch ups and renovations, the photos are much nicer than in person and 2) breakfast was quite simple

The staff deserves special praise – everyone was friendly, professional, and very helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was also excellent, with a good variety of fresh options to choose from each morning. We stayed in a room without a window, where it was difficult to stay without the air conditioning on. However, we see this as a characteristic of the building itself rather than a fault of the hotel.

Staff was awesome. Helpful and friendly We asked for a quiet room which meant in the back of the building without a window. Albeit the staff did ask if we wanted an upper floor with a window but even with 8 floors up there was constant beeping and traffic noise. It was too much if you are a light sleeper like us Good breakfast Right in the centre of things. So polluted and congested. We knew it was going to be busy but we feared for our lives ring to navigate the roads to get anywhere. Almost ran over several times

Central location, staff are the best! It was mainly good, although a little outdated in places, could do with a refresh but fully functional and clean

We got to the hotel at 11pm after a long travel day and were greeted really nicely by the staff. We stayed only one night and had a nice breakfast and really enjoyed the room. Thanks Henry for seeing us out and for being so kind!

Location

The location is convenient, although not at all recommended. Staff willing to help. The hotel is not a 4-star hotel—the room is not as shown on the photos—NO soundproofing AT ALL—bad breakfast

The people and location None

The location is great for walking around. There are many Vietnamese and western food and beverage options close to the hotel. The hotel manager was great at arranging a cruise and airport transportation in advance of our stay. Any issues were addressed promptly and with great concern. For example, I like extra pillows, and they were immediately provided.

Staff are very friendly and helpful, making visitors very heartwarming and feel like home.
