Location of the hotel which is at the center of old quarter. It is very convenient to access all attraction areas by bus. The hotel staffs are very helpful. When we checked in and found out the room we made reservation is very tiny room and without window. We talked to the front desk staff, the staff promised to upgrade our room at nearby facility for free. On the checked out date, the staff allowed us to leave the hotel one hour past the regular check out time. If we stayed in our original room, I think the price we pay for that kind of room in Vietnam is a little bit overprice(72 US dollar per night). Might be all hotels in old quarter area are very expensive. The hotel listed in booking.com as 4 stars hotel. It is not a 4 stars hotel what we expected.

The location was perfect and the staff were very helpful. Hannah was especially courteous and caring at the time of check out. The room was smaller than my experience with other hotels in the same area and there was some noisy guests that made the stay difficult but that's not hotel's fault. Perhaps better soundproofing could have helped.

It was a really nice hotel and very clean with a nice bathroom. The staff were very helpful and polite and always there to help. The room was a little small, but seems like most places in the Old Quarter are. The biggest issue we had was that we used their paid laundry service for a substantial amount of our clothes and they all shrank greatly. Many items of clothing had shrunk to the point of discomfort and one rather expensive pair of linen trousers is no longer wearable.

The Staff, Jerry and Hannah especially, were brilliant. Welcoming and helpful. We were given a free upgrade on two of our rooms. ‘Superior’ room is a bit of a misnomer. Whilst functional and clean, our two were small. I shudder to think what they would be superior to? The electrics in one of our upgraded rooms was wholly inadequate. Functionally, only one of my sockets would physically fit in any of the sockets (they all fitted in my previous and subsequent Vietnam hotels!). In terms of numbers there were only 3 single sockets, one of which was above the to with no shelves to place charging items. They did provide a double extension when asked. Safety-wise, one of the sockets was clearly an extension from elsewhere in the building and loosely connected to the wall. This is a quirky hotel. We had four rooms, unfortunately not together. In another hotel that wouldn't be an issue; but this appears to be two buildings merged into one; where rooms 01 and 02 are in one building and rooms 03-05 are in the other; with connecting corridors only on the 1st and 4th floors. So depending which room we were going to, we sometimes had to go up to go down or down to go up.

Our stay at Amica hotel and travel has been amazing. The location is perfect with everything close by etc. but what really made our stay is the incredible staff in this hotel. I can’t express enough how kind and attentive they were. All the staff were so kind Win etc., and Hannah has just been fantastic. Upon arrival to the hotel my partner had some health issues and she couldn’t have done enough for us, she was so helpful in every way. I would 100% reccomend this hotel in Hanoi and will definitely stay again if we are ever back.
