We initially stayed in the old quarter area however found the french quarter more relaxing and cleaner. The hotel itself is quite nice and modern. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Crab from guest services was a fantastic help in anything we needed

Only problem was the soundproofing of the rooms. I could hear all the steps of people walking, maids cleaning outside, other rooms slamming the door open/close, even though our room was the last room right at the end of the corridor. Our first room right next to the elevator was worst. Also the sunshade at the window could use a big improvements as there were big gaps between the window and the shade so the sunlight would hit directly at your face in the morning as the bed positioning was perfectly align.

It has a good location that is close to major tourist destinations. Cleaning staff left my room opened after cleaning it. Luckily nothing was stolen. Rooms have a hard to open and close door so when you close doors it’s very loud.

Internet is slow so I couldn't use it for doing work. Luckily I prepared my own mobile internet. I hope this point can be improved.

Accessible to local food restaurants, museums and a short walk to the centre of the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Hazel. The room was very suitable. All was good.

The area surrounding it isn't nice (there is literally an illegal dump site next to it with rats). The hotel is old, which you notice when walking the halls. The facilities in the bathroom were broken and we even got a towel with holes in it. The A/C was also smelly. Avoid if you can find something better.
