Great location, clean comfy room, and exceptional staff. After a 1 night stay, we immediately embarked on a ha long bay cruise and, after returning, had a late night overnight train ride to Sapa. The staff allowed us to store our things there for a few hours prior to leaving, which we greatly appreciated, at no charge. We re-booked a 2 night stay at the end of our vacation since it exceeded all of our expectations. Book it! The location and staff can't be beat at a great price.

Great location and super easy to walk everywhere from. The staff were helpful when we needed things and the room was basic but comfortable for the couple of nights we were there. I'd recommend it as a cheap and cheerful stay if you want to be right in the centre of everything! Comfy beds too. The rooms were a little tired compared to the photos. The bathroom was a wet room rather than in the pictures despite it being the deluxe as we'd booked. In fairness, the staff were helpful and let us move rooms, however it was still basically a wet room so the floor ends up wet after showering. We also had a random call from reception at 7am to ask us if we wanted to book an airport a taxi, which wasn't ideal on our last morning before a super long flight.

The hotel location is 8-10 mins walking distance to Don Xuan Market for souvenir shopping. There's also pasar malam stalls/ night markets around the shophouses around our hotel area during weekday nights. Al-Noor mosque is 15 mins walking distance but halal food there at Zeynab Restaurant opens late & close early, food choices not much variety. 7-Seater Grab Fare around Hanoi town cost S$2 to S$6 which is very reasonable to go to a halal-eatery /halal-certified restaurant. 1) On 1 day of our stay, we have to keep calling the hotel staff to assist with the TV remote control but the male day-reception staff was very friendly & cooperative. 2) Reception staff did not working overnight (24 hrs) so we got to call hotel housekeeping cum operator staff for assistance, but too bad she was not English-fluent so communication a bit difficult for us tourist. 3) Hotel lobby air-con was not working/brokedown during our stay.

pretty central, friendly and helpful staff, the breakfast (coffee excluded) due to an administrative issue, we got another room than we booked (but than we also payed the lower rate and on top we got breakfast for free on the following days), hot water only from time to time, drain of the shower and sink was blocked, AC couldn't be used (heating) as it emitted an unpleasant smell
