Very convenient, affordable, and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was amazing. It’s closing soon and construction around.

Good breakfast, nice location, and spacious room. Our stay was heavily affected by ongoing building demolition next door. The noise was extremely disruptive, and dust was noticeable throughout the day. Awful views. Additionally, the hotel markets itself as a 5-star property, but the facilities and overall experience do not meet that standard.

The staff were exceptional, helpful and kind. We love that they took the time to get to know our names and greet us accordingly. The location was perfect for being close to the Old Quarter but just away from the noise at night. The pool area was too dark

I’m so sad to hear this location is closing. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the location was close to everything but quiet as it was a block away from the lake, and the massages were excellent.

Location was great. Room was spacious. Construction work however it was not a hinderance.

Location, helpful and friendly staff. Lots of noise, one night it was until two in the , construction is going on. I heard that they are going to shut down Hotel and demolish it in two months.

Amazing location that was close to everything. The main highlight was the staff - they were super attentive, solved all of our needs, and were always a joy to converse with. Huge shoutout to Quavo and Linh. You guys made our trip!

This was a wonderful stay - in a fantastic location! We chose the lake view, which was great for viewing the fireworks for lunar new year (right out of our balcony)! The staff were very friendly and were always checking in on how we were enjoying our stay. Our room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was also good. Walking distance to many key areas of hanoi. I like that it was on a quieter street, which helped after walking through chaotic old quarter. We appreciated the taxi pick up and drop off - very seamless. We had an early flight and the hotel prepared complimentary breakfast to go! Would certainly stay here again! The shower would randomly get very hot or cold, which was not ideal. There were a couple of times where we requested that our room be cleaned and new towels to be dropped off and it took the staff quite a long time to get to our room (over 1 hour after we called).

We arrived the eve of Tet and since the moment we arrived, we felt extremely welcomed. The level of attentiveness and hospitality we were shown throughout our short stay was amazing. The room was exactly what we booked and we were happy that breakfast was offered, as quite a few places were closed in the surrounding area due to the holiday. Overall, we were quite pleased with our stay and the level of service we received!

The biggest issue wasn’t the staff—it was management’s decision to keep certain rooms “sellable” when they’re simply not acceptable under current conditions. My wife and I were initially placed in a room that felt sub-par in quality, clearly impacted by the ongoing surrounding construction. The room was dusty, and the experience was made worse by constant noise, especially because of its proximity to the hotel kitchen. It didn’t feel like a room that should be offered at full price, and it was disappointing to have our tolerance tested right at check-in. What made it more frustrating is that the situation only improved after I negotiated for an upgrade—and I was willing to pay. Once we moved to the more appropriate room, the stay became much more comfortable. But the point is: this should not have been necessary. If the hotel already has rooms that meet an acceptable standard, guests shouldn’t be placed into inferior rooms first and then pushed into paying extra to get what should have been the baseline experience. My suggestion to the owners/management: If certain rooms are affected by construction dust and kitchen noise, remove them from inventory, or at minimum clearly disclose the condition and price them accordingly (or proactively offer upgrades). This is a straightforward fix that would protect the hotel’s reputation and prevent guests from starting their stay on the wrong foot. In summary: Wonderful staff and a great location, but room allocation standards and management decisions need serious improvement. I truly hope leadership addresses this, because the team on the ground is doing their part—and doing it well.

Aurora Oriental Hotel has two standout strengths: its excellent Old Quarter location and, most importantly, its hardworking, genuinely caring staff. From the moment we arrived, the team made a consistent effort to ensure guests were looked after—polite, attentive, and diligent in following up. Their service mindset is the reason this stay still lands at 5 smileys instead of lower. Great staffs. They made sure you have good experience staying in their hotel.

  • Engine customer Feb 2026

the bed was comfy breakfast was good had to wait more than 15min for check-in which is not reasonable for an hotel and glorifies itself as a 5-Star hotel after check-in they gave me one key to my room. when i asked for another key they said it is impossible. i don't understand why... the room was noisy - there were construction work out side and on top of that the window glass was thin and we were able to hear the cars outside the provide multi-time slippers (in order to save the planet and prevent waste - which is a very good and decent motivation), but please, make sure that the slippers are clean... the entry to the dining room was smelly (the food however was good...)

Gorgeous renovated rooms. Attentive staff. Great location. The ammenities (sauna, steam room, and onsen) were very luxurious.

  • Engine customer Feb 2026

The hotel is very good location that can walk in few minutes to city old quarter and French quarter by different directions The room is equipped with new facilities in which the bathroom is spacious and comfortable The staff are friendly and enthusiastic working The breakfast is various kind of Asian and western foods The hotel is narrow in width but has swimming pool and sauna at the basement Only 1 thing that is out of hotel control : the hotel is surrounded in 3 faces by construction site with rubles on ground The site is waiting for government project

The breakfast was of a lower quality. All the options were there, but the quality of the meat or pastries or bread was not good.

  • Engine customer Feb 2026

Fantastic staff, very helpful. Great choices for breakfast, very comfy bed, nice to have a small pool and a hot jacuzzi at -1, both were never crowded. Some mosquitos at the pool
