Friendliness and convenient location. Breakfast mushrooms and fried egg cooked in oil. Healthier but not as tasty.

Location was convenient to nearby Hartington where we had an early start walk. Staff were very friendly and were able to provide breakfast at 06:30, earlier than usual.

Beautiful traditional Inn run very efficiently. Excellent rooms and lovely atmosphere. Nothing.. However it is a lot cheaper to book direct rather than through booking.com so will do that in future.

The pub/hotel was lovely in itself but it was the couple who own it which makes this place stand out ?

Location good. Comfortable room. Huge towels. Excellent breakfast. Poor bedside lights.

This is a lovely down to earth pub with a convivial atmosphere. The rooms, in a modern annexe, are basic but very comfortable whilst the food is excellent home cooked with a well thought out menu. The hosts were friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Breakfast was really good. We also had two evening meals which were excellent. Rooms cosy and we'll equipped. On a main road but adequate parking. Although book says to ask for more tea, coffee etc the staff seemed reluctant when asked. I actually bought my own to save having to ask again.
