The room had a beautiful lake view. There was a second room with bunk beds which was fun for the kids. Kayaking was fun, but swimming in the lake was challenging since there is no beach or ladder off the dock. My kids loved the smores over the fire pit

The property was good and the pool areas were nice. the restaurant was the best part. The kids had fun on the paddle boards and the kayaks they had on site. The room however, was pretty dirty. There were stains on the sheets and the comforter, and the maintenance of the outside of the buildings were not very kept up with. It looked like a quick flip from an old hotel. The pictures on the property were a bit deceiving.

However, I did feel that the rooms could be better cleaned and updated. I hope you find this feedback constructive as you continue to make improvements for future guests.

Great scenic location on the lake. Tasty continental breakfast included with our stay, set in the lounge with a great view of the lake. I’d recommend Silver Birches and would stay there again!

very nice hotel. it is a historic hotel with no elevators so you have to know what to expect. rooms are very nice, finished very nicely with great views of lake wallenpaupack. little nice touches like champagne toast at sunset, evening firepits with smores, ect. if you are looking for a big resort type hotel, stay away from lake wallenpaupack all together. this is a very nice, historic, clean (with a few cobwebs) and friendly hotel with great charm and awesome views.

Very dirty and mold on steps. Ac didn't work at night cause curtains had to be pulled over it. Clearly not worth 650 a night

A plus!

We’ll definitely come back

Free perks like s'mores, breakfast, snacks and watersports. Staff were excellent. The property needs a little TLC. Some broken fixtures, dehumidifier running constantly in the room, some of the walking paths are not safe for those young and old.
-
Very expensive and pool was not open. Room was average/no view.

Website is not how property shows in real life. Exterior of property needs updating as well as property grounds. Rooms interior are updated but common areas are still dated. Air conditioning units need to be replaced. Food is average and highly priced. Lake is not clear and was told by locals they do not swim in it. Staff was friendly and accommodating but accommodations and property were very average grade.

People were very nice. The place was very clean. My only concern is I left my Kindle in the room and I called last night & they told me they hadn’t cleaned the room yet. I called again this morning & they said they would get back to me. I called again at 5:00pm & asked if they had a lost & found once they connected me no one answered. I called again & they said that they Would get back to me one way or another. Still waiting.

My only complaint is the complimentary breakfast fruit was tart.. nothing about it was good but other than that highly recommend

Highly recommend Silver Birches, we can’t wait to plan another trip back! The staff went above and beyond to make dinner reservations for us, provide a shuttle to dinner, and provide activities and breakfast which were all included.

Place was immaculately maintained and in a beautiful setting.

What a gem of a place. This is an "old school" family resort and we loved it. We only stayed a day as we were just traveling through, but we are planning on coming back again soon. This is not a big, glitzy venue but instead a family-friendly, homey place to stay. Our bathroom was big and well appointed, two king beds with a view of the lake. What more could you ask for? The continental breakfast is just that - very simple. But they had fruit, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs and mini bagels.

Amazing Lake view at this property wiht a nice pool. The whirlpool was out of service. The staff was very helpful and the room was basic but clean and comfortable with a nice porch is see the lake. the sunsets were breathtaking across the lake.

It was an amazing place. Staff were respectful and assisted you immediately. The scenery was amazing along with the food. Will definitely come here again.

I loved the views, amenities and all of the included perks! They had champagne toasts, smores kits and 2 pools. It was wonderful Our room was dirty when we arrived. It was the only flaw out of everything. I did have wash the floors on my hands and knees as soon as we got in. Our feet were black as soon as we took our shoes off. I’m not sure if it got dusty during slow season or someone forgot to vacuum and mop when cleaning but they were really really bad. After that though everything was great. Everything else was very clean they just forgot the floors.
