Breakfast was excellent and the only part of my stay that was positive. Curtains literally didn't close - 24" gap! So light from street visible. Room 7 was next to the laundry room and hot water heater in an already hot room, during a heatwave ( a small fan was provided but not enough to provide basic comfort). Large main window didn't open as it was painted shut. I had to fix the shower head myself and the basin tap in the bathroom need two v strong turns to turn on or off. Also one socket ( outlet) did not work at all so I had to either choose the TV or the fan!

Parking available Outdated building. Loud music from the pub below. Room with odor. Poor location. No front desk. Luck of service

I loved almost everything about this place. First and foremost, the staff was so incredibly welcoming, kind, thoughtful, and really felt like they wanted to help along all steps of my stay. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!! The breakfast was very very tasty and filling, the bed was very comfortable, the room was perfect and spacious, and the location was a quick walk to the train station. I was able to easily take the bus to st Ives and also did a long walk along the coast of hayle up to hell’s mouth. Not much to be upset about really! The least appealing part of the stay was the karaoke night that’s held on Friday nights and can run a bit late. but honestly, staying above a bar/restaurant, I can more than understand this kind of “inconvenience” and if I wasn’t so tired from traveling I would have been down there enjoying it! It did look like there was a little bit of mold in the shower, but otherwise the room and bathroom were very clean.

The building was old and musty, lacking ventilation.

Passable

Convenient Noise between rooms. Lack of continental breakfast

Room very grand. Comfortable, spacious. To be honest, not a lot to criticise. It is a two star establishment establishment after all and for that, it really is pretty grand, especially for the price.

We had an evening meal and that was very nice. Breakfast was ok and the staff were very friendly. We stayed in room 2, first night the toilet roll holder fell off the wall and there were tiny insects around the back of the toilet. Called for someone to clear the insects and that was done and was told the toilet roll holder would be fixed the first job in the morning but it wasn't done the full time we stayed there. On the second morning we turned on the hot tap and brown water came out after running the tap for 5 minutes the brown water cleared but the next morning it happened again. Told a member of staff and she said its because the plumbing pipes were old and just to run the hot water to clear it, well we had already done that. We have stayed at this hotel before and had no problems so decided to pay for this better room and it was disgusting. Also for this room the furniture was old, marked and needs a total upgrade. We were not happy at all.

Bed was comfy, the room was clean, and the overall feel was nice. Breakfast was amazing!! It's not that I didn't like it, but the decor could do with updating.

Shower and bathroom needs attention

Warm welcome and very well looked after. With my wife having a number of allergies the restaurant/kitchen staff could not have been more helpful.

It was an excellent location. It was a homely hotel with a myriad of different bars, eating places and music. It had a lovely vibe. Our room was at the back and a little bit dark.

The staff were fine The shower was a dribble the bed was too short and the pillows were very flimsy and Wi-Fi was only available in the bar not in the room which was on the top floor with no lift and I am 71
