This family-run hotel and restaurant is located directly on the marketplace in the Old Town, and makes the perfect starting point for sightseeing. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property. Home to the Holy Spirit Church and the town hall, the marketplace marks the start of a long pedestrian zone lined with restaurants, outdoor cafes and shops. Many of the city’s sights can be explored on foot from here, including the Old Bridge, the River Neckar, the university and Heidelberg Castle. The nearby mountain railway takes you to the castle or the top of the Königstuhl mountain, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the city and surrounding landscape. Local busses take you comfortably to the main railway station, the city zoo and various other locations.

The location can't be beat - right in the center of everything. We parked in a garage (P13) a few minutes away and it was huge and easy to get in/out and relatively cheap. Breakfast was decent, the staff is friendly. Our room and bathroom were huge and we had views of the castle too. They were lots of extra goodies in the room to welcome us. Our room was on a high floor and sometimes the elevator was a little glitchy so we had to take the stairs a few times. Thankfully it worked when we had our luggage with us. (But it still only goes up so far so we had to carry our bags up an extra flight of stairs.)

The location was great. The owner was very nice in waiting to check is in (we arrived late in the evening), and the room was great. It was a bit difficult to get to by car to unload our bags, though the owner came to find us on his bike and led us to the entrance.

The property was in a great location. Even though we were in a busy square building was quite soundproof. The breakfast was excellent. Our room and bathroom were quite small. The tiny sink in the bathroom had a large crack in it.

Central location and historical, nice building. Decent breakfast, friendly staff. The mattress had a huge deepening and was not really suitable for even a single night sleep. The bed was also short.

Location is perfect right at the heart of the old town near everyplace you want to go, the suite was very nice, spacious and clean with a very nice bathroom with a tub and a shower cabin, the attic vibe was nice and gives you the vibes of the old town Breakfast did not have any not pig cold cuts option, the suite had very small windows that made it hard to enjoy the available nice views and the blackout curtains were not good so you can’t really make the room dark enough during the day, our room was only cleaned one time during our 6 days stay although we hanged the clean my room sign from the second night, the mattress is very soft which can be somehow uncomfortable if you have back problems

The breakfast was traditional German but a good variety of foods. The room was better than expected for the price. I loved the personal touch of mints and water. I do wish there was a full length mirror in the room as I was getting ready for an event and it was hard to do so without one. I appreciate the location of the hotel and that a Parkhaus was nearby if needed and close proximity to the train station. No full length mirror in the bathroom. I would have liked a little more variety at breakfast with some warm items as it was all cold unless you boiled an egg.

No better location if visiting the old town. The hotel also has a restaurant on the first floor with many good German dishes to try, highly recommend.

The location cannot be beat! We had an amazing view of the square and cathedral from our room. The floor of our room was slanted which we thought added to the charm, but could be an issue for some. Amazing service and very clean rooms. The restaurant downstairs had delicious dinner and a plentiful breakfast.

Great location. This is a darling place. We had the family room with windows that opened above the town square (and Christmas Market). Fabulous! Upstairs from a lovely restaurant - so cute/and so festively decorated. Wonderful breakfast buffet in nice eating area. Restaurant had good options and very nice staff. I wished we had stayed longer.

The location is wonderful and the building is charming. Staff was very friendly. The breakfast was hearty. The room and bathroom were both small, though adequate for one person.
