Hotel El Conquistador Monarca

Stayed here on a weekend to visit the El Rosario butterfly habitat. The staff were very helpful in telling me how to get there and even drew a map for me. The hotel is located around the corner from the combi stop where you will set off and get returned to. If you get the breakfast included option, keep in mind it's a continental breakfast that is located at another hotel. And the breakfast included was only fruit with yogurt and coffee. I opted to order more from the hotel's menu to have a hearty meal for the hike up to the sanctuary. Overall, I would not have added the breakfast had I known it wasn't much.

Wasn't enough towels and bath paper, but overall was good. Enough.

There was never hot water available.

Locations

The room doesn't have an outside window. It is ventilated onto a large corridor. It wasn't too warm, but you do hear people hanging around.

Says breakfast included..NOPE, not even a conversation about it. Parking was secure and in front of the hotel in a locked area. Bathroom sink was backed up, never fixed while we were there...kinda gross.. But great hot water No need for an alarm, at exactly 715am, the marching band or something from the school next door would begin...so not overly a quiet spot... Disappointed..no...thrilled ..no...just ok ..

Good location, very clean and lovely, friendly staff It was listed on booking,com as having a restaurant, which it did not.

Location and free parking No hair dryer available. Can hear a lot of noise from outside and inside the hotel in the room. Needed a bath mat for bathroom floor. Sink faucet too close to sink making you have to touch the sink when using water.

Breakfast continental, OK but advertise as such. Had lots of hot water for showers. Directions to other hotel where restaurant is should be printed on back of breakfast voucher. Otherwise no idea how to get there from hotel staff.

Not too much. It’s pretty grim It’s very run down. The area seems some what unsafe. The shower is cold. The hotel is VERY loud at night. And it’s extremely overpriced. Don’t recommend

The location was nice, The rooms were nice and clean, Friendly staff. No air conditioning and the windows had a small slot at the bottom for outside air. They provided us with a noisy stand-up fan, but we found a better one the next day. Breakfast was served at a different hotel down the street, which included only coffee and a plate of sliced fruits with yogurt and bread.... So we bought breakfast. No frig. No hairdryer.

It’s nearby the city center. Great location to stay for El Rosario butterfly Sanctuary Well, you get what you pay for. No hot water (as mentioned by previous reviews). Curtains are white, so it never really gets dark (at-least in the room we stayed in)
